IIST 2022 Exam Pattern: Cut Off, Seat Allotment

The IIST Admissions 2022 Exam Pattern has been released. The candidates are to follow them so as to prepare themselves thoroughly. The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology or IIST is a deemed university in Valiamala, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, that offers candidates space science education and research. It is Asia's first institution dedicated entirely to the study and exploration of outer space.
For applicants, the IIST offers B.Tech/Dual degree programme (B.Tech + M.S./M.Tech), M.Tech/M.S programme, and M.Tech/M.S programme. In the final stage of admission, individuals will be chosen for a post-graduate interview. On the basis of their JEE Advanced score, candidates can gain admission to IIST.

Entrance Exam for IIST Admission 2022

For the candidates' convenience, we have included all of the pertinent information concerning the IIST Admission 2022 Entrance Exam in the area below. The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology's official officials do not hold a separate IIST Admission 2022 Entrance Exam to give admission to applicants.
However, admission will be granted to qualified applicants by official authorities depending on their performance in many other national-level entrance tests. Applicants, for example, would be able to get admission to several Undergraduate (UG) programmes depending on their performance in the JEE Main or JEE Advanced entrance exams.

IIST 2022 Exam Pattern

The following is given the Exam Pattern for IIST 2022 which is being followed by the authorities. the aspiring candidates are to follow by them for a better understanding of the pattern of the exam IIST 2022.
  • The question paper will be objective in nature and will be divided into three sections: physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
  • Each response should be recorded on a specifically designed machine-gradable Optical Response Sheet (ORS) and analysed using an Optical Mark Reader (OMR).
  • The student must select the right answer and record his/her response by darkening the corresponding bubble using hard black (HB) pencils alone.
  • If you mark more than one answer for any given question, your response will be invalid. The exam will last two hours.
  • Each right answer adds 3 points to the total, while each erroneous response subtracts 1 point from the total.

IIST 2022 Cut Off

IIST will release the IIST Cut Off for 2022 admission to undergraduate, post-graduate, doctoral, and post-doctoral programs. The cut-offs will be based on the ranking list and the basis of the candidate's categories. Candidates should review the cutoffs on the IIST official website following the publication of the cutoffs.
The process to check IIST 2022 Cut Off:
  • The candidate needs to visit the official site of IIST.
  • Go to IIST cut off link present on the home page.
  • After that choose the category and submit by entering the captcha.
  • Now check the college wise cut off.

IIST 2022 Seat Allotment

Candidates whose names appear on the IIST Admission Rank List fill out their branch collection in order of preference for the Undergraduate and Dual Degree programmes at the time of registration. Registration will not be complete unless you select a branch.

  • Seat distribution to the three branches will be done in the order of merit based on the candidates' preferences and available vacancies.
  • Candidates who are satisfied with their seat assignment should select FREEZE and proceed to confirm seat acceptance.
  • Candidates that choose the FREEZE option will not be considered further due to their higher priorities, if any. Candidates should be certain about their decision before making it.
  • Candidates who wish to be considered for their higher preferences but also want to confirm their assigned seat should choose the SLIDE option and affirm their acceptance of the seat.

To be notified on the website, applicants must provide scanned copies of the following papers before the deadline.

  • Class 10th certificate OR birth certificate for date of birth verification.
  • Mark sheets for Class 12th (or similar test) (for those who took the exam in 2020 and/or 2022).
  • Certificates by category
  • Certificate of completion from the institute
  • AADHAR Card of the Applicant
