JEE Main 2020 Result: Percentile, Scorecard, Process to Download

JEE Main 2020 Result for April session is to be announced on 30 April 2020 for B.Arch and B.Planning at the official website. JEE Main result for January result has been declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on the official website on 17 January 2020 along with the final answer key for the January session. A total of 11,18,673 candidates registered in JEE Main January session out of which 8,69,010 candidates appeared in B.E/B.Tech, in which 9 students scored 100 percentile. Candidates can check their score by entering their application number, date of birth and security pin. Those who will qualify the Joint Entrance Examination 2020 will get the admission into B.Tech, B.E, B.Plan, B.Arch programmes. There are 31 NIT's, 25 IIIT's, 28 CFTI's, etc in which qualified candidates will get the admission. The exam will be organised twice a year. JEE Main 2020 Result

The result for the Jee main is declared twice as the exam held twice a year. The result will be declared on the basis of the final answer key disclosed by the NTA. The details regarding Jee main result 2020 for the January session is discussed below:

For B.E./B.Tech Result

  • The scores for all the shifts/sessions have been disclosed on 17 January 2020 by NTA.
  • NTA Jee Main 2020 April session result for B.E./B.Tech is to be released on 30 April 2020.
  • The NTA score will be calculated corresponding to the actual marks secured by the applicants.
  • The scores will be calculated on the basis of three subjects (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry).

For B.Arch & B.Planning

  • The scores for all the shifts/sessions have been disclosed on 17 January 2020 by NTA.
  • NTA Jee Main 2020 April session result for B.Arch & B.Planning is to be released on 30 April 2020.
  • The NTA score will be calculated corresponding to the actual marks secured by the applicants.
  • The scores will be calculated on the basis of three subjects  (Mathematics, Aptitude Test, Drawing Test/Planning Based Test).

Important Details regarding JEE Main 2020 Result

  • All institutes which do not use the Centralised Seat Allocation Process will prepare their ranking on the basis of performance in the JEE (Main)-2020 & other criteria as decided by them.
  • To get admission into NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/SFIs/others through Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB)/Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) only the All India Rank is used.
  • The applicants are advised to download the scorecard from the JEE (Main) website.
  • No scorecard will be dispatched to the applicants.
  • The All India Rank shall be compiled and declared after conduct of April JEE(Main)-2020 Examination.

How to Download the JEE Main 2020 Result?

Candidates can follow the below-given steps to download the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Mains Result:

  • Step 1: Candidates need to visit the official website of JEE Main or NTA. Click here>JEE Main (January) Result 2020
  • Step 2: Click on the "View Result/Score Card" link provided there.
  • Step 3: Now, enter the application number, date of birth and security pin required for downloading the result.
  • Step 4: Click on the "Submit" button.
  • Step 5: After clicking on the submit button, the IIT-JEE result will appear on the screen.
  • Step 6: In the last step, candidates can download their JEE Main scorecard and take the printout of the same for future reference.

JEE Main 2020 Cut-offs

The cut-off mark is the minimum mark required in Jee main to be eligible for the Jee Advanced 2020 exam. The candidates can check the JEE Main 2020 cut off marks below:

Method of Resolving Ties in JEE Main 2020

The NTA will go through the following procedure to resolve the ties of scores of the candidates:

For B. Arch 

The tie between applicants obtaining equal total NTA scores in B.Arch will be resolved in the following descending order:

  • NTA score in Mathematics
  • NTA score in Aptitude Test
  • NTA score in Drawing Test
  • Candidates having a lesser number of negative responses in the paper. 
  • The applicant is older in age.

For B.Planning 

The tie between candidates obtaining equal total NTA scores in B.Planning will be resolved in the following descending order:

  • NTA score in Mathematics
  • NTA score in Aptitude Test
  • NTA score in Planning Based Questions
  • Candidates having a lesser number of negative responses in the paper.
  • Candidates older in age
