JoSAA Counselling 2023: Round 4 seat allotment result announced at josaa.nic.in

JoSAA 2023 is Joint Seat Allocation Authority which will be conducted in June/July 2023 by MHRD. In order to manage and regulate admission to 92 tertiary institutes administered by the Indian Government, the JoSAA has been created. Although IIT offers admission on the basis of the JEE Advanced score, JEE Main grants admission on the basis of the NIT / IIT / GIFT/ IIEST score. Candidates must first register and fill out the selection according to their choice, then the seat distribution is completed, and finally, these candidates are called for document review and payment of fees. JoSAA Counselling 2023: Round 4 seat allotment result announced at josaa.nic.in

  • The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has announced the seat allotment result for the fourth round of counselling on July 16, 2023.
  • Candidates who have applied for BE and BTech seats can check the seat allotment on the official website, josaa.nic.in.
  • Allotted candidates are required to report to their allotted colleges between July 16 and 19 through the online reporting process.
  • The online reporting includes fee payment, document uploading, and responding to any queries.
  • Candidates must respond to queries by July 20.
  • The seat withdrawal process will commence from July 18, and candidates have the option to withdraw their seats or exit the counselling process until July 20.

JoSAA 2023 Counselling Dates

The JoSAA 2023 important dates have been made available by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority on the official website, josaa.nic.in. Starting from June 19, candidates can commence their JoSAA registration and choice filling, and they are required to complete this process by June 24. In addition, candidates who have qualified the ATT can begin filling their choices from June 24, 2023. On June 30, the first round of JoSAA seat allotment will be announced and candidates can access the JoSAA 2023 seat allotment result using their login credentials. JoSAA 2023 Registration

The candidates have to register online in order to be able to participate in JoSAA 2023 counselling. If the registration is completed, applicants may
switch to the choice filling process choice. The registration steps are as follows: 

  • Candidates need to visit the official website of JoSSA i.e https://josaa.nic.in/
  • After that click on the online registration and choice filling button present on the home page.
  • Enter the required information for completing the registration process.
  • After completing with the registration process candidate need Login with JEE Main / JEE Advanced application number and
    the password to start filling your options to begin filling your choice.

JoSAA 2023 Eligibility Criteria

A candidate who meets one or more of the following requirements is qualified to participate in the allocation of joint seats. 

  • Requirement 1
    • The applicant should have qualified for JEE (Advanced) 2023 for academic programs excluding IIT preparatory courses. 
    • Applicants should have passed Class 12 or equivalent as per the norms set by JoSAA.
  • Requirement 2
    • Applicants should be Qualified in JEE (Advanced) 2023 for preparatory courses at IITs.
    • Applicants should have passed Class 12 or equivalent as per the norms set by JoSAA.
  • Requirement 3
    • Applicants must have secured a rank in JEE (Main) 2023 B.E./B.Tech. Paper for B.E./B.Tech. programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and Other-GFTIs.
    • Applicants should have passed Class 12 or equivalent as per the norms set by JoSAA.
  • Requirement 4
    • Applicants must have secured a rank in JEE (Main) 2023 Paper-1 for B.Arch. Paper for B.Arch. programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and Other-GFTI.
    • Applicants should have passed Class 12 or equivalent as per the norms set by JoSAA.
  • Requirement 5
    • Applicants must have secured a rank in JEE (Main) 2023 Paper-1 for B.Planning Paper for  B. Planning programs at NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and Other-GFTI.
    • Applicants should have passed Class 12 or equivalent as per the norms set by JoSAA.

JoSAA 2023 Counselling

JoSSA conducts the counselling process to take admission of the students in IITs, NITs, IIEST, IIITs (Triple-I-Ts), and Other-GFTIs. These institutes accept admissions on the basis of
the results of the qualifying examinations given below:

The following steps are for the counselling process JoSAA 2023 :

  • The candidate needs to register first for the counselling process.
  • After that Login with ID and Password and fill in the choices of Institution.
  • Check the vacant seat for the allotment
  • After allowing the seat Freeze, float, or slide the allotted seat.
  • Participate in the fee payment and document verification phase of online reporting.

JoSAA 2023 Choice Filling

Registered candidates must complete the choice filling of programs at the official website according to their choice. In this stage, the candidates must include the names of the institutes and the branches offered. Candidates should remember that there is no charge for options to be filled out. All choices must be made within the specified time limit. Choices can not be altered once locked. Before doing the real choice filling, the applicants must plan for choice filling. Make a list of which institutions are preferred and which branch of the institute is preferred.
This list must be in line with the preferences and cutoffs.

JoSAA 2023 Seat Acceptance

Applicants need to pay the fee, upload the necessary documents, and get them checked in order to actually accept the seats allocated to the candidates. The 'Provisional Seat Allocation Letter' and an e-challan for remittance of the seat acceptance fee from the official website must also be downloaded.

Candidates can use either the JoSAA, SBI E-challan, SBI Net Banking platform, or the SBI debit card facility. 
Applicants have to upload the appropriate documents after the seats are accepted. Applicants are given admission once the paperwork and fees are submitted. Candidates had to register for offline counselling at their nearest designated reporting centre under usual conditions.

About JoSAA

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2023 has been set up by the Ministry of Education [erstwhile Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD)] to manage and regulate the joint seat allocation for admissions to 110 institutes for the academic year 2023-22. This includes 23 IITs,  31 NITs, IIEST Shibpur, 26 IIITs and 29 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes. Admission to all the academic programs offered by these Institutes will be made through a single platform.
