TNTET 2023: Exam Revised Schedule (Out), Syllabus, Admit Card Released

TNTET 2023 Revised Exam Schedule has been released by the TRB (Teachers Recruitment Board). The exams will be conduced from October 14 to 20, 2023. Candidates will be able to download the admit card from First week of October 2023. Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET) is a state-level examination conducted once a year by the Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB), Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu TET exam is conducted for the selection of teachers posts in Tamil Nadu. TNET consists of two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates who clear Paper 1 will be selected to teach classes 1 to 5 ad those who will clear Paper 2 will be selected to teach classes 6 to 8.   • The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) has announced the TNTET Result 2022 for Paper II on March 28, 2023.
  • Candidates who appeared for the Paper 2 examination can check their results by visiting the official website of TRB TN at trb.tn.nic.in.
  • The Computer Based Examination for Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper-II for the year 2022 was conducted in 23 sessions from February 3 to February 15, 2023.
  • The answer key for the exam was released on February 22, 2023. Candidates were allowed to raise objections until February 25, 2023.

TNTET 2023 Exam Dates

TNTET 2023 Application Form

Before filling the application form candidates must check their eligibility for TNTET. The teacher Recruitment Board (TRB) will release TNTET application form 2023 online. Seeking aspirants follow the below steps and apply for the same:

  • The application form will be available in online mode on the official website of the authorized body.
  • Candidates must fill the form for both papers separately.
  • To fill the form candidates have to first register themselves.
  • Should have their scanned recent colour passport size photograph and signature. The online application uploaded without the photograph and signature will be rejected.
  • Valid e-mail id and Mobile Number are mandatory. 
  • While filling the form must be very careful about the details.
  • Without the fee payment registration will remain incomplete, hence submit the fee.
  • Candidates must keep the printout of the application form.

TNTET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check TNTET 2023 eligibility criteria below hereby for both the papers:

Paper 1 Eligibility Criteria(for classes 1st to 5th):
  • Should have passed Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

  • Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent) with minimum 45% marks & passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year diploma in Elementary Education by the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

  • Have a certificate of Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

OR

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum aggregate 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

OR

  • Should hold a degree of Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

OR

  • Graduation with minimum 50% aggregate marks and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.,).
NOTE - Applicants who have passed D.T.Ed., /D.El.Ed., from States other than Tamil Nadu, should submit an evaluation certificate for such qualifications.
Paper 2 Eligibility Criteria(for classes 6th to 8th):
  • Graduation degree and is appearing or have passed a 2-year diploma in elementary education.

OR

  • Should be a Graduate with a minimum score of 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed.

OR

  • Graduation degree holders with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks can apply for TNTET. Those who have passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. are also eligible to apply.

OR

  • Have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and have passed or appearing in the final year of B.El.Ed.

OR

  • Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc. Ed or B.A. Ed./B.Sc. Ed.

OR

  • Graduation degree holder with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. can also apply for TNTET.

OR

  • Any candidate having a qualified B.Ed. the program, recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET.

TNTET 2023 Exam Pattern

TNTET 2023 examination includes two papers – Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both papers are different and the question pattern is also different. Check the TNTET paper pattern 2023 below:

TNTET 2023 Admit Card

The Teacher Recruitment Board will release the TNTET 2023 hall ticket online on its official website. In the below-given points check other relevant information:

  • Applicants will have to visit the web portal of the board for TNTET 2023 hall ticket download.
  • Must not forget to carry the call letter to the exam hall as without it entry would not be possible for an examination.
  • The date, time, and centre for the entrance exam will be indicated in the Hall Ticket. No individual will be allowed to sit for the exam other than the date and venue mentioned on the admission ticket.
  • The Hall Tickets will be issued to those who will successfully submit the application form to the authority.
  • TNTET Admit card 2023 will not be sent through post or any other mode.
  • At the time of the recruitment process, and the admit card will be required to produce, hence keep it with safety.

TNTET 2023 Preparation Tips

Here we are providing some of the most important tips and tricks to go forward with the preparations for the Tamil Nadu Teachers Eligibility Test 2023.

  • Firstly, make a study plan before starting preparation. 
  • Get all necessary learning resources like guidebooks, previous year papers, sample papers, and mock tests that one needs to prepare for the exam. 
  • Allocate study hours to specific subjects/topics as per the priority. Candidates should prioritize subjects/topics to study as per their strengths and weakness in particular subjects/topics. 
  • Make short notes. Special consideration should be for the subjects of environmental studies, social science, and science in general where candidates can use the short notes as last-minute preparation and revision material.
  • Practice in Mathematics and Science papers regularly. This is going to render more clear and informed learning with the prospects of solving typical mathematics and science questions more efficiently in the exam hall.

TNTET 2023 Answer Key

After the successful commencement of the examination, TRB releases the answers keys for both papers separately. Go through the points mentioned below to know more about TNTET Answer Key 2023:

  • The answer key will be released on the TRB board.
  • With the help of the answer, key candidates can calculate the expected scores of all the subjects and the aggregate score of the exam.
  • The answer keys are available in PDF format. To check the answer aspirants will have to download it from the online portal of the board.
  • After the provisional answer key is released, TRB opens the window for objecting. Applicants will have to submit a certain amount to challenge the answer key.
  • A final answer key is released after the objected answer will be resolved. 

TNTET 2023 Result 

Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) declares the TNTET Result 2023 online on its web portal. Check the information below in the given points:

  • To check the result candidates have to visit the official website of the TRB.
  • TRB declares a separate result of TNTET 2023 Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • Candidates who will secure the minimum qualifying marks set by the board will be awarded Teacher Eligibility Certificate.
  • With Teacher Eligibility Certificate, qualified candidates can apply for various teaching posts in Tamil Nadu’s government, semi-government and private sector schools.

TNTET 2023 Certificate

A passing certificate is awarded to all those who will qualify for the TNTET 2023 exam. The certificate is however released through the official website of the TRB, Tamil Nadu in digital format. As such, candidates must download the certificate from the website as per schedule. The TNTET certificate is the proof that the candidate has qualified in the exam and therefore, holds the necessary eligibility conditions to appear for any teacher recruitment in the state of Tamil Nadu up to the level of the upper primary. The TNTET Certificate is valid for up to a period of 07 years from the date of publication of the results on the official website.

About TRB

The Teachers Recruitment Board was constituted in G.O.Ms.No.1320 in the year 1987.  The government of Tamil Nadu formulated the TRB to conduct various Test for the selection of candidates under sectors such as Secondary Grade Teachers, Agricultural Instructors, BT, PG, Special Teachers, Computer Instructors, and AEEOs in the respective Departments of School Education and Elementary Education Department, Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, Social Defence Department, Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, and Minorities Welfare Department, Chennai Corporation and Coimbatore Corporation. Junior and Senior Lecturers in SCERT and the Higher Education Department for the post of Asst. Professors, Lecturers in Engineering Colleges and Govt Arts and Science Colleges, Govt polytechnic, and Govt Law Colleges respectively. On the guidelines of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009, the TRB took up the responsibility to conduct TNTET from 2012 onwards.
