Chandigarh Group Of Colleges (CGC), Landran Admission 2023

• CGC Landran is currently accepting applications for UG and PG admissions for the year 2023. Interested candidates can apply by visiting the official website.
• ME/M.Tech admissions at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran will be based on GATE 2023 scores. For B.Tech admission, candidates from Punjab with valid JEE Main scores are eligible.
• Candidates from other states can get admission to B.Tech based on their 10+2 marks followed by counselling conducted by PTU.
• Admission to B.Pharm is granted on the basis of JEE Main score or PTU CET, while B.Tech (LE), B.Sc, BBA, BCA, BHMCT, and BTTM courses follow a merit-based admission process followed by PTU counselling.
• M.Tech admission requires a valid GATE score or BE/B.Tech marks followed by PTU counselling. MBA admission is subject to a valid score in Punjab MET and graduation marks.
• At the PG level, M.Sc, MCA, M.Pharm, and B.Ed admission is offered based on the marks in the last qualifying examination.

CGC Landran 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for different undergraduate courses given below:

• All those Aspirants who have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council are eligible.
• For Lateral Entry, the Candidate must have passed there three years of diploma with CSE stream.
• Must have cleared Diploma in any engineering stream from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), Longowal or (PSBTE) Punjab State Board of Technical Education or from any other State Board of Technical Education Institutions (SBTE) are eligible.

• Candidates who have passed 10+2 level with mandatory subjects of Mathematics and Physics from any recognized board or equivalent status along with any one subject out of the following:

• • • Computer science
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Biotechnology

• Candidates who have passed 10+2 with Mathematics and Physics as mandatory subjects from any recognized board having equivalent status along with one of the subjects mentioned below:

OR

• Must have cleared Diploma in any engineering stream from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), Longowal or (PSBTE) Punjab State Board of Technical Education or from any other State Board of Technical Education Institutions (SBTE) are eligible.

OR

• Candidates who have a two-year certificate course from SLIET.

• All those Aspirants who have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council are eligible.
•  The candidates must be a 10+2 passed out with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science.
• 66.6% of seats form the State Quota while 33.3% of seats in each discipline are reserved for Management Quota. Admissions to all seats are made based on the merit of JEE/10+2 marks.

• To secure admission in B. Pharmacy one must have cleared 10+2 with Physics & Chemistry as compulsory subjects and one of the following as an additional subject: Math/Biology/Biotechnology/ Computer Science with at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category).
  OR
• Candidates who have passed the Diploma in Pharmacy from Punjab State Board of Technical Education / any other university / State Board of Technical Education provided the diploma is duly approved by the PCI / AICTE are also eligible.

• Must have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent examination in any stream conducted by a recognized Board/University/Council are eligible.
• Aspirants who have cleared Diploma in any engineering stream from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), Longowal or (PSBTE) Punjab State Board of Technical Education or from any other State Board of Technical Education Institutions (SBTE) are eligible.

• Must have passed 10+2 commerce examination of any other examination hitherto with at least 33% marks in aggregate

OR

• At least 40% marks in aggregate for those Candidates who opted for two of the following subjects in 10+2

OR

• Minimum 45% in aggregate for other candidates

• Must have passed 10+2 in any stream from any recognized board with at least 45% marks (aggregate) are eligible for BCA.
• Must have cleared Diploma in any engineering stream from Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), Longowal or (PSBTE) Punjab State Board of Technical Education or from any other State Board of Technical Education Institutions (SBTE) are eligible.

• To seek admission at CGC Landran one must possess a 3-year bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University. Admission to the Bachelor of Education course is completely based on merit in the qualifying exam with eligibility criteria of 50 % for the general category and 45 % for SC/ST/OBC category as per conditions laid down by NCTE, Delhi.
• The college has a total of 100 seats out of which 85% are reserved for Candidates having Punjab domicile and 15% are for Candidates from other states.
• Out of the 85%, Punjab quota 15% are reserved for the management. Thus 13 seats are kept aside for the management to be filled as per the defined norms and conditions.

• To get admission in the PG course from the Best M.Tech College of Punjab (CGC Landran), the then-candidate must have B. Tech / B.E. degree in the respected branch.
• All candidates have to pass Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks (45% marks in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in qualifying degree course are eligible.

• Must hold any recognized bachelor’s degree of minimum three years duration from University Grants Commission (UGC) recognized University with Maths/Stats/Business/Quantitative Techniques (QT) as compulsory/optional/additional paper as one of the subjects in 10+2/ graduation level/ PG diploma in any field of computer science/computer applications or equivalent.
  OR
• Must have passed BCA of minimum three-year duration from a University Grants’ Commission (UGC) certified University.

• Aspirants must have a bachelor’s degree in B Pharmacy with a minimum of 55% marks.
• 33% of the total seats will be filled directly based on GPAT and other qualifying exams.
