The CUET cutoff is issued in the form of marks / points / percent by different middle universities. Also, the termination of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) varies according to programs, intermediate universities and candidate categories.
It must be noted that the CUET (Formerly known as CUCET) cut off 2023 will be released in two stages - initially, along with the CUET result (via its scorecard) and later on via the CUET merit lists/counselling announcement.

How universities will decide minimum qualifying marks

The CUET PG 2023 minimum qualifying marks and cut-offs are determined by each participating university. Here are the key points regarding CUET PG qualifying marks and how universities decide their cut-offs:

  1. NTA's Role: The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts the CUET PG exam but does not have any role in preparing the merit list or deciding the qualifying marks for CUET PG.
  2. Merit List and Cut-offs: After the CUET PG 2023 results are declared by NTA, the participating colleges and universities will prepare their own merit lists and cut-off marks based on the CUET PG 2023 scores and other relevant criteria.
  3. Admission Schedule: Respective universities will declare the counselling/admission schedule and merit list based on CUET PG 2023 scores and other criteria specific to each university.
  4. Factors Influencing Cut-offs: Universities consider various factors like the difficulty level of the exam, the number of available seats, and the overall performance of candidates to determine the minimum qualifying marks and cut-off scores.
  5. Variation in Cut-offs: The minimum qualifying marks may vary from one university to another and from one course to another.
  6. Shortlisting for Further Rounds: The cut-off marks will be used to shortlist candidates for further rounds of the admission process, such as counselling and seat allocation.
  7. Admission Criteria: Selection and admission to universities and colleges will be based on fulfilling admission criteria, eligibility, merit rank, medical fitness, verification of original documents, and other specific criteria set by each university.
  8. Number of Universities: A total of 197 universities will accept CUET PG scores for admission. These include central universities, state government universities, government institutions, private, and deemed universities.
  9. Candidates' Appearance: It was observed that in CUET PG 2023, more than half of the registered students did not appear for the test.
  10. Popular Programs: Among the various programs, the general (MBA) program had the highest number of registrations, and the highest number of candidates who appeared for the exam was for the general program.

Candidates seeking admission to PG courses through CUET PG 2023 should closely follow the admission updates and cut-off details provided by the respective universities to secure admission in their desired programs.

Factors affecting CUET PG Cutoff 2023

The CUET PG 2023 CutOff is the minimum score that candidates must obtain in order to qualify for the admission process. It is determined by various factors such as the number of candidates appearing for the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, and the number of available seats. The CutOff score is usually released after the announcement of the result. The candidates who score equal to or more than the CutOff score are eligible for the next round of the admission process. The previous year's CutOff score can give an idea to the candidates about the expected CutOff score for the current year. Delhi University CUET is one of the factors that affect the CutOff score. The analytics of the exam can help in predicting the CutOff score.
  • Total number of testers
  • Total number of seats available
  • Candidate category
  • Difficulty level of testing
  • Student performance in assessment

Candidates who wish to take admission in CUET PG 2023  universities need to keep these cut off in mind regarding the admission procedure.
