KIITEE 2021 Exam Pattern: Marking Scheme, CBT Question Paper Pattern

KIITEE 2021 Exam Pattern or Information on the test has been released by the exam conducting authority -  Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneswar. The exam pattern of KIIT entrance exam is released along with official admission notification on December 10. The exam is organised at the university level to offer admission to various Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses offered by the university. Admissions in MBBS, BDS, and PG Medical & PG Dental programmes will be done through national level test scores of NEET UG, NEET MDS and NEET PG. Through this article, candidates will come to know about the KIITEE 2021 Test Pattern such as marking scheme, exam mode, subject-wise distribution, etc.

KIITEE 2021 Exam Pattern

The KIITEE 2021 exam pattern would help the candidates get to know about the marking scheme of KIITEE paper pattern, duration of the KIITEE 2020, structure of the KIITEE question paper pattern, the total number of the questions asked under different sections.
  • KIITEE 2021 Exam Date: KIITEE Exam will be conducted between 16 June 2021-23 June 2021.
  • Exam Mode: The test will be a Computer-Based Test (online).
  • Medium: Question Paper will be available in English language only.
  • Duration: Candidates will get 180 minutes (3 hours) to solve the entire question paper.
  • Questions Type: The exam paper will be having multiple-choice questions only.
  • Marking Scheme: Candidates will get 4 marks for the correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for the wrong answer.

Marking Scheme of KIITEE 2021

The marking scheme is released by Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar alogn with information brochure. 

  • The questions that are answered correctly offers four marks to the total marks of the candidates. While, every incorrect answer will cost the candidates 1 mark from the total.
  •  As per the exam pattern of KIITEE 2021, the structure of the question paper will be in MCQs. Each question will have 4 options out of which the candidates will have to choose one correct answer.
  • The candidates can switch between sections according to their feasibility.
  • If the candidate has doubt about any particular answer, they have the option to mark that particular question as ‘Mark for Review’ so that they can ponder over it later without wasting any time.

KIITEE Exam Pattern 2021 - Terms/Functions to Understand the Computer Based Test

The university official released detailed information about attempting the CBT online question paper. Read the key points below:
  • Type of questions: The questions will be MCQ types, that appear one by one by one on the screen. In each of the sections, questions are followed by 4 answer options. Choose the option that is most appropriate. Mark your answer by clicking on the circle given after the answer.
  • Switching/Skipping the Questions: You can go to any question directly by clicking on the question number, which will appear at the bottom of the screen. The answered question number will be marked Green and the unanswered/ skipped question number will remain in blue.
  • Mark for review button: If you are doubtful of the answer, you can mark a question for review using the ‘Mark for review button’. This will be unmarked once you come back to the same question at a later time and change the answer.
  • Change the answer: If you want to change the answer to any question, you may select the question and change the answer by clicking on the appropriate answer.
  • The sequence of a particular section: If you have completed answering all the questions in the sequence of a particular section, you will be automatically directed to the first question of the next section. Candidates can move between sections at their will.
  • Confirmation page: In case you finish your test before the allotted time, you will get a confirmation page which will give you two options. Either to go back to the test or to complete the test.
  • In case you want to review the answers in the remaining time you can do so, else you may complete the test and submit. Ensure that you click on submit as a sign of completion.
