Eligibility for SET exam "Symbiosis Entrance Test"

The eligibility criteria for SET exam is as follows:

  1. Qualification: Candidates must have passed their 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized board or university.
  2. Minimum Marks: Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination. SC/ST candidates are given a relaxation of 5% marks.
  3. Age Limit: There is no upper age limit for appearing in the SET exam.
  4. Nationality: Indian nationals as well as foreign nationals are eligible to apply for SET exam.
  5. Number of Attempts: There is no limit on the number of attempts a candidate can make in the SET exam.

It is important to note that the eligibility criteria may differ for different courses offered through SET exam. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of their desired course before applying for the exam.

SET 2027 Eligibility Criteria

  • SLS-Pune (symbiosis Law School – Pune [SLS-B.A LLB] Hons), (Symbiosis Law School – Pune [SLS-B.B.A LLB] Hons)  AND
  • SLS-NOIDA (Symbiosis Law School – Noida [SLS-B.A LLB), (Symbiosis Law School – Noida [SLS-B.B.A) AND
  • SLS Hyderabad (Symbiosis Law School – Noida [SLS-B.A LLB), (Symbiosis Law School – Noida [SLS-B.B.A LL)
  •  The candidate must have passed his Class 10+2 from any recognized board with a minimum score of 45% marks and 40% marks for SC/ST (reserved candidates)

SCMS- Pune and SCMS NOIDA (Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies [SCMS)

  • The candidate must have passed his Class 10+2 from any recognized board with a minimum score of 50% marks and 45% marks for SC/ST (reserved candidates)
SICSR (Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research [SICSR BBA),(Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research [SICSR BCA) AND
SID (Symbiosis Institute of Design [SID)  AND
SCMC (Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication [SCMC)
  •  The candidate must have passed his Class 10+2 from any recognized board or an equivalent government approved diploma (10+3) with a minimum score of 50% marks and 45% marks for SC/ST (reserved candidates)
SIT (Symbiosis Institute of Technology [SIT)
  • The candidate must have passed his Class 12th examinations with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational optional subject. It is required for the candidate to at least secure a minimum score 45% marks in the above subjects (40% for SC/ST), In order to be eligible for SET 2027 examination.
SSE (Symbiosis School of Economics [SSE) AND                                                          
SSLA (Symbiosis School for Liberal Arts [SSLA) AND                                                         
SSCA (Symbiosis School of Culinary Arts [SSCA)
  • The candidate must have passed Class 10+2 from any recognized board with a minimum score 50% marks and 45% marks for SC/ST (reserved category)
Nationality:
  • Indians/ NRIs/ Foreign Nationals (FN) OCI/ Person of Indian origin (PIO) candidates, as per examination guidelines are eligible to apply for the exam.
For B.Tech:
  • Qualifying Exam:  The candidate must have passed his 12th standard examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the subjects among Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, and technical vocational subjects.
  • Percentage Required: The candidate must have scored a minimum of 45% marks (40% for the reserved candidates) in the qualifying exam.
For BA LLB/BBA LLB:
  • Qualifying Exam:  The candidate must have passed his 12th level from a recognized board.
  • Percentage Required: The candidate should have at least scored a minimum of 45% marks (40% for the reserved candidates).
  • Appearing: Candidates appearing in the class 12th are also eligible to apply for this concerned examination.
For BCA:
  • Qualifying Exam: The candidate must have passed Class 12th with a recognized board or should hold a 3 years diploma from a recognized university.
  • Percentage Required:  The candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in his examinations.
  • Appearing: Candidate appearing in his class 12th or in final year examinations of diploma can also apply for the examination.
