TISSNET 2021 Cutoff : Category-wise 2018, 2019 Cutoff

TISSNET 2021 cut off will be released by Tata Institute of Social Sciences after the declaration of results. Candidates are required to score more than the cutoff for appearing in pre-interview test (PIT), group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI) rounds. TISSNET 2021 Cutoff 

The candidates can check a few important details below in the given points:

  • TISSNET cutoff score depends on the number of seats available for a specific programme at a particular campus as well as on the category of candidates.
  • TISS cutoff will be different for candidates belonging to different category
  • In 2020, the cut off seems to be high owing to the lower difficulty level of TISSNET 2021.

Types of TISSNET cutoffs

There are three types of TISSNET cut off. All the types of TISSNET cutoff is defined below

 TISSNET Qualifying cutoff:  TISS has set the minimum qualifying marks for PIT and PI round of TISS Selection Process. Candidates with less than the cutoff scores can not be considered for TISSNET cut off list for PIT and GD/PI.

Candidates can check the sectional cut offs for General Awareness (GA) from the table given below. Candidate must have to score more than the minimum marks in General Awareness section to qualify TISSNET exam and PIT& PI.

TISSNET PIT and PI cut off: Only qualified candidates with more than the above-mentioned score can appear for Pre-Interview Test and Personal Interview. Top qualified candidates are shortlisted by authorities to participate in PIT and PI rounds.

Selection of candidates for final admission is based on their performance in TISSNET exam and PIT and PI together. 

TISSNET 2021 Expected CutOff

For management courses, an overall score of about 70 or 75 can be considered a good score for TISSNET 2021.

The above mentioned TISS cutoff are for General Category. The cut off for OBC was 4-5 marks lesser and the cut off for SC/ST Category was 8-10 lesser than the General Category cut off as per the above table.

What After Clearing TISSNET Cutoff?

Candidates who will qualify more than TISSNET Cutoff have to go through subsequent selection rounds for taking admission in various campuses of Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The final list of shortlisted candidates will be declared soon after the exam. TISSNET Selection Procedure includes the following stages for any course:

  1. Score in TISSNET
  2. Pre-Interview Test
  3. Personal Interview 

Candidates who will score more than or equal to TISSNET 2021 cutoff marks will be called for Pre-Interview session and Personal Interview. Final selection of qualified candidates will be based on their performance in TISSNET 2020, PIT and Interview in the following weightage:
