UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2020 dates have been announced. UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2020 is conducted by UP Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go-Anusadhan Sanstha (DUVASU), Mathura. UP Veterinary entrance exam 2020 Application form can be filled in the online mode only. Once the candidate can fill only one form for a particular course, an additional fee has to be paid for every course. Important instructions for filling up the Mathura PVT application form 2020 are given below: -
Steps to fill the UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2020 form is given below: 
  1. Firstly, open the Deen Dayal veterinary university official website.
  2. Then after, go into the link for academics.
  3. Check for online application for admission to a different course. Click on the link and this will take you to a new page.
  4. Fill in all the details as asked, upload the scanned copy of the signature, thumb & photograph and click on the submit button.
  5. After successfully submitting the Mathura PVT application form 2020, take the printout of the registration form and keep it safely for future use.  
Candidates should take these points in mind while filling the application form:
  • Separate registration has to be done for each course at the undergraduate level.
  • Mathura veterinary application form 2020 without the fee will not be accepted.
  • The incorrectly filled application forms will be cancelled, the application fee will not be refunded.
  • It is important to confirm registration on the official website.

UP Veterinary Exam 2020 Application Fees

The candidates have to pay examination fee after filling Mathura veterinary application form 2020. Details regarding the registration fees are given in the points below:

  • UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2020 Application Form Fee is Rs. 1800/- for all the candidates irrespective of Gender or Category.
  • Mode of payment - Fees can be paid in online mode by Credit card, Debit Card or Internet Banking.

UP Veterinary Exam 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Following are the criteria for UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2020 according to the various courses:
B.V.Sc & A.H. Degree
  • Candidate must have passed 12 class examination with physics, chemistry, biology and English is mandatory.
  • The minimum class 12 percentage for general category candidates are 50%. The SC/ST/OBC candidates will be given 5% relaxation in percentage.
  • The lower age limit is 17 years and upper age limit is 25 years. SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5 years in upper age limit.
M.V.Sc and PhD
  • The student must have passed the B.V.Sc & A.H. examination from a VCI recognized college.
  • For admission to Doctoral program, a master’s degree is compulsory in the respective field, with OGPA/ percentage equivalent to 6.5/10 for general category students and for SC/ST/PH category students it is important to have 6.0/10 OGPA/ percentage. The guidelines given by ICAR and the OGPA formulae should be followed for the year in which the candidate has passed out.
B.Sc./M.Sc./PhD (College of Biotechnology)
  • B.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Industrial Microbiology: students must have cleared class 12 examination with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate with physics, chemistry, biology and English as main subjects. For SC/ST the minimum percentage required is 55%.
  • M.Sc./M.V.Sc. Biotechnology: B.Sc. (Zoology, Botany, Chemistry)/B.Sc. (Biotechnology)/B.Tech. (Biotech)/ B.V.Sc. & A.H./B.Sc. (Agriculture)/ B.Sc.(Fisheries) with a minimum percentage required is 60% marks in UG level for general category candidates and 55% marks for ST/SC Candidate.
  • Diploma course in veterinary pharmacy and livestock extension
  • Class 12 examinations must be cleared from U.P. Board or equivalent with physics, chemistry, biology and English with 50% marks. The SC/ST/OBC candidates need to score only 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidate must have appeared for PDET (Pre-Diploma Entrance Test) 2020 conducted by DUVASU and must have cleared the exam to be considered eligible.
  • All the mark sheet of the intermediate examination must be produced at the time of counselling.

UP Veterinary Exam 2020 Counselling

UP Veterinary 2020 Counselling will commence after the declaration of Results i.e. the third week of July 2020 for B.V.Sc & A.H, the second week of August 2020 for M.V.Sc and PhD and the first week of July 2020 for B.Sc. (H) Biotechnology/ Industrial Microbiology and only qualified candidates will be considered for the counselling. Candidates are requested to stay updated with their Email as most of the information will be posted there. Counselling will include document verification and seat allotment to the final merit list candidates.

UP Veterinary Admission through Pre Diploma Entrance Test

Admission in Diploma Courses of Veterinary Pharmacy and Livestock Extension courses will be done on the only based on candidate's merit in the Pre – Diploma Entrance Test (PDET). For General and OBC candidates the cutoff marks in PDET will be 45% and for SC/ST candidates cutoff is 35%. Any other merit/ weightage shall not be considered for admission to the diploma programme.

UP Veterinary Admission through Pre-Veterinary Entrance test

For admission in B.V.Sc. & A.H courses candidates have to clear Pre-Veterinary Entrance test (PVT). Final selection of candidates in any course is based on the merit of the candidate in the main PVT examination conducted by DUVASU, Mathura. For admission in B.V.Sc & A.H programme, interested candidates have to obtain the minimum marks in both preliminary and mains PVT exams separately. Cutoff marks for General & OBC are 50% and 40% marks are for SC/ST category candidates.

UP Veterinary Admission through Post Graduate Entrance Test

For admission in Post-graduate courses ( M.V.Sc. & PhD) candidates must have qualify PG Entrance Test with good score. Admission is provided in both M.V.Sc. and PhD courses. Minimum qualifying cutoff in PGET for M.V.Sc. is 50% for General and OBC, and 45% for SC/ST candidates. For PhD courses, the minimum cutoff for PGET is 60% for UR and OBC and 50% for SC/ST candidates.

UP Veterinary Admission through Merit in Qualifying Examination

For admission in B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology  /B.Sc. (Hons.) Industrial Microbiology, candidates must have merit in the qualifying exam i.e. Class 12 or equivalent and as per the reservation policy of Uttar Pradesh. Seats remaining vacant in reserve category (OBC, SC, ST) will be filled from the candidates of the unreserved category. However, there will not be any relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks for such candidates.

DUVASU formerly known as Veterinary College is the fourth veterinary school in India situated in Mathura. It was established in the year 1947 by the Govt. of the Indian state of UP. In 2001 it converted into University.
