UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2023 is conducted by UP Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go-Anusadhan Sanstha (DUVASU), Mathura. This exam, also known as the Mathura Pre Veterinary Test or Mathura PVT 2023, is used to shortlist applicants for admission to B.V.Sc. and A.H. Degree programmes, MVSc/Ph.D. programmes, and Diploma programmes. Interested candidates should fill out an application on the official website. Eligibility Criteria for the UP Veterinary Exam 2023

Candidates must look into the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. According to the various courses, the criteria for the UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2023 are as follows:

Degrees in B.V.Sc. and A.H.
  • The candidate must have passed 12th grade exams in physics, chemistry, biology, and English.
  • For general category candidates, the minimum class 12 percentage is 50%. SC/ST/OBC candidates will be granted a 5% percentage relaxation.
  • The minimum age requirement is 17 years, while the maximum age requirement is 25 years. The upper age restriction for SC/ST candidates is relaxed by 5 years.
PhD and M.V.Sc
  • The student must have earned a B.V.Sc. and A.H. from a VCI-approved college.
  • A master's degree in the relevant discipline is required for admission to the Doctoral programme, with an OGPA/ percentage of 6.5/10 for general category students, and a 6.0/10 OGPA/ % for SC/ST/PH category students. For the year in which the candidate graduated, the ICAR norms and OGPA calculations should be followed.
B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. (College of Biotechnology)
  • B.Sc. in Biotechnology/Industrial Microbiology: students must have completed class 12 with a minimum of 60% in aggregate in physics, chemistry, biology, and English as their primary courses. The minimum percentage required for SC/ST is 55%.
  • M.Sc./M.V.Sc. Biotechnology: B.Sc. (Zoology, Botany, Chemistry)/B.Sc. (Biotechnology)/B.Tech. (Biotech)/ B.V.Sc. & A.H./B.Sc. (Agriculture)/ B.Sc.(Fisheries) with a minimum percentage required is 60% marks in UG level for general category candidates and 55% marks for ST/SC Candidate.
  • Veterinary pharmacy and livestock extension diploma course
  • Class 12 tests must be passed with 50 percent marks in physics, chemistry, biology, and English from the U.P. Board or equivalent. The qualifying test requires only a 45 percent score for SC/ST/OBC applicants.
  • To be deemed eligible, the candidate must have taken the DUVASU PDT (Pre-Diploma Entrance Test) 2020 and passed the exam.
  • At the time of counselling, all intermediate examination mark sheets must be presented.

For Veterinary Pharmacy Diploma Courses and Livestock Extension Courses (PDET)
Mode: Pen and paper mode of examination
Time allotted for the examination: 3 hours (180 Minutes)
Questions Type: Multiple-choice questions (MCQ)

Negative Marking: There is no such thing as a negative mark.
Degree Programs in B.V.Sc. and A.H. (PVT)
Mode: Pen and paper mode of examination
Time allotted for the examination: 3 hours (180 Minutes)
Question Type: Multiple-choice questions (MCQ)
No. of Questions: 200
Marking Scheme:  Correct responses will receive +4 points, while erroneous responses will receive 1 point subtracted.
For the M.V.Sc. programme (PGET)
Mode: Pen and paper mode of examination
Time allotted for the examination: 2 hours (120 Minutes)
Question Types: Multiple-choice questions (MCQ)
No. of Questions: 200
Negative Marking: There is no such thing as a negative mark.
For the Ph.D. programme (PGET)
Mode: Pen and paper mode of examination
Time allotted for the examination: 1 hour (60 minutes)
Question Type: Multiple-choice questions (MCQ)
No. of Questions: 100
Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking.

UP Veterinary Exam Syllabus 2023

The Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology syllabus for the UP veterinary exam is based on the Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology syllabus for class XI and XII. The exam consists of 50 questions for each subject.   • The overall marks acquired in LE ECE 2023 will be used to determine the UP Veterinary 2023 rank list.

  • In comparison to other candidates, the candidate with the highest score would be given priority for UP Veterinary seat allocation.
