UPSC CSE Result 2020 will be declared by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The result is available in pdf file at the official website. IAS result is declared in the form of merit list. Candidates can download the merit list directly to check their respective result. Roll numbers of candidates who secured the minimum qualifying marks (cutoff) will be on the merit list. UPSC CSE Result 2020
UPSC will declared the Civil Services Prelims Result 2020 at the official website. The result is released in the form of meit list containing the roll numbers of the selected candidates. Now, the selected candidates will have to undergo personality test to be held after the declaration of result.
How to download CSE Result 2020?
Result for IAS 2020 is declared on the official website of UPSC. To download the result, candidates are advised to follow the steps mentioned below.
Step 1: Visit the official UPSC website.
Step 2: Click on the ‘written examination’ link present at the middle of the page.
Step 3: Result for IAS will be on the top of the list. Download the result by clicking on the link provided on the right.
Step 4:After downloading, search for your roll number with the help of search feature.
CSE 2020 Selection Procedure
The selection for IAS is done in three stages which are:
Preliminary examination – Candidates have to secure minimum 33% marks in preliminary examination to qualify for the main examination.
Main examination – Main examintion is conducted in a descriptive format. There are 09 papers in UPSC civil services main examination. For each papers, candidate is provided with 03 hours.
Interview round – After qualifying main examination, interview round is conducted. Interview or personality round is conducted to test the knowledge and calibre of the applicant.
CSE 2020 Tie-breaking criteria
If two or more candidates have scored the same marks in IAS 2020 exam, then the tie is resolved on the basis of principles approved and prescribed by the Commission, which are:
Candidate scoring more marks in Personality Test and Compulsory Test are summed up and then the rank is calculated.
If in case, the marks of both compulsory and personality test are same of the candidate then the rank is given to the candidate who is elder in age.
Just in case if above mentioned criteria are also same, then the higher rank is set on the basis of the marks candidate has secured in compulsory papers.
