HORTICET 2022, commonly known as the Horticulture Common Entrance Test, will be held by Dr. YSR Horticulture University in Andhra Pradesh in November 2022. HORTICET is open to candidates interested in pursuing a B.Sc (Horticulture) degree. In order to apply for the exam, candidates must first register. This test is given every year in the middle of the year at the university level. The Government of Andhra Pradesh created the university. Candidates must be familiar with the HORTICET 2022 exam pattern. Knowing the exam pattern will assist the applicant in determining the types of questions that will be asked and how to answer them within the time limit. The following are all the details about the HORTICET Exam Pattern 2022:

The HORTICET 2022 Exam Pattern informs all candidates on what to expect on the exam. The table below contains information regarding many parts of the horticulture exam, such as the exam method, time duration, type of questions that will be asked in the test, marking scheme, total number of questions, and so on:

Points to be kept in mind:
  • HORTICET 2022 will be administered using a single-question paper with a single section.
  • Aspirants have the option of answering any question in any sequence they wish.
  • They must use an OMR sheet to record their answers by darkening the appropriate bubble.
  • In HORTICET 2022, there will be no sectional time limit, meaning that you will not be limited to solving a certain section within a certain period of time.
  • HORTICET 2022 is a paper-and-pencil test.
  • The only language in which the question paper will be offered is Telugu.
  • It will consist of 200 objective questions that must be answered in 120 minutes and they should be aware that negative marking will not be used in this entrance exam.

Marking Scheme for HORTICET 2022

Applicants must be familiar with the marking structure before deciding how to approach the questions on the horticulture entrance exam. The HORTICET 2022 Marking Scheme has remained unchanged from the previous year, and it is the same as it was in 2016. Check the below-given points for knowing more about the marking criteria for HORTICET 2022: -

  • Students will receive a +1 mark for each correct answer they mark.
  • There will be no penalty for marking improper or incorrect responses, i.e. negative marking will not be used.
  • For leaving a question blank or failing to attempt it, no marks will be deducted from the individual's final score.
  • A bad answer will be deemed as marking two alternatives on the OMR sheet, and no marks will be awarded for that question.

Qualifying Marks for HORTICET 2022

For HORTICET 2022, the qualifying marks threshold is 25% of the total aggregate marks in the General and OBC categories. In the case of applicants from the SC/ ST category, there will be no minimum qualifying marks for ranking the candidates in the Dr. YSRHU test.

HORTICET 2022 Admit Card

Dr. YSR Horticlutural University is expected to deliver the HORTICET 2022 Admit Card in the second week of July 2021. Only those candidates who successfully complete the application process will receive an admission card. Candidates will receive their admit cards through speed mail or can download them from the university's official website. All candidates must bring their admission cards to the examination venue; otherwise, they will not be allowed to attend.

HORTICET RESULTS 2022

The University will publish the HORTICET 2022 Result on its official website in an online format. Candidates will be able to download the results in PDF format and check their rankings in the list. Candidates who pass the HORTICET 2022 exam are eligible to participate in the counselling procedure.
