IPU CET 2020 Eligibility Criteria for MBA, MCA, M.Tech, B.Pharma & various other courses have been released on the official website of the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The candidates have to fulfil the eligibility requirements for all the courses to appear in the exam. The exam for Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test is scheduled to be held on 30 May 2020. IPU CET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

IPU CET eligibility criteria 2020 specified below is for the general/open categories of admissions. The university conducts the CET for few courses only, which are mentioned below with their eligibility requirements. For other courses admission is done based on national /state level entrance examinations.

  • Minimum 60% marks or equivalent in the qualifying examinations as:

  • M.Sc. (Biotechnology / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Biosciences / Genetics / Life-Sciences) or equivalent.
M.Tech. (Nano Science and Technology)

  • One should have secured a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent in any of these:
  • M.Sc. (Biosciences/Physics / Applied Physics / Electronics / Mathematics /
    Chemistry / Biotechnology / Life Sciences / Material Science).

OR

  • B.E./B.Tech (Engineering Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / Electrical / Mechanical / Metallurgy / Material Engineering / Information Technology / Biotechnology / Biomedical / Chemical Engineering or Technology); or equivalent and Mathematics at 10+2 or undergraduate level is a must.
M.Tech. (Engineering

Passed the Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England, the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India or England or the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. In addition to above, for MBA (Financial Analysis) the candidate must have passed in Mathematics at the 10+2 level.

(MPT )

Bachelor of Physiotherapy programme (BPT) of 4½ years duration (including internship) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

OR

Bachelor of Physiotherapy/B.Sc. (Physiotherapy) of 3½ years duration (including internship) with 50% marks in aggregate and bridge course of one year with 50% marks.

Master of Occupational
Therapy (Neurology)
Should have passed Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOT) with 50% marks
in aggregate from a recognized University
Master of Prosthetics
and Orthotics
A candidate must have a degree of Bachelor of Prosthetics & Orthotics programme (BPO) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University.
Master of Science
(Env. Management)
  • B.Sc. degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent.
OR
  • B.Sc.(Engg.), B.Tech. or B.E. in Agricultural Engg Civil/Chemical/ degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Master of Arts
(English) / (Criminology)
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University with an aggregate of 50% marks.
Master of Science
(Forensic Sciences) 
  • B.Sc(Hons) in Physics or Applied Physics or Mathematics or Applied Mathematics or Statistics or Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry or Toxicology or Industrial Chemistry or Biology (Zoology or Botany or Genetics or Biotechnology or Biochemistry or Physical Anthropology) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

OR

  • B.Sc of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Also, the candidate must have studied from at least 1st year (2 semesters) of the 3 years degree course any 2 subjects out of Physics,  Biology (Zoology or Botany or Genetics or Biochemistry or Biotechnology or Physical Anthropology) Mathematics or Statistics,  Chemistry.

OR

  • B.Sc Forensic Science with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

OR

  • B.Tech(Civil or Mechanical or Electronics or Instrumentation or Chemical Engineering or Computer Science) with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
Master of EducationCandidates should have obtained at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the following programmes: B.Ed. , B.A. B.Ed. , B.Sc. B.Ed. , B.El. Ed. , D.El. Ed with an undergraduate degree.

B.Sc. degree (Anthropology, Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or any field of Life Sciences) or equivalent with minimum 50% marks.

B. Sc. degree holders with Life-Sciences, Earth Science, Environmental Sciences, Physical Sciences, Agriculture, geography / Economics background and having a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply.
Master of Arts
(Economics) 
Bachelor‘s degree with Honours in Statistics (with Economics and Mathematics) or Honours in Economics (with Mathematics) or with a minimum of 60% in aggregate.
M.Sc (Nursing)
  • The candidate should be a Registered Nurse and
    Registered midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing
    Registration Council.
  • Should have passed B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic
    B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
  • The candidate should have undergone training in B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution which is recognized
    by Indian Nursing Council. 
  • Should have a minimum 01- the year of work experience after Basic B.Sc.
    Nursing
  • Minimum 01 years of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
  • Applying candidate must be medically fit.
M.Sc in Yoga
  • B.Sc.(Yoga) graduate with 50% marks.

OR

  • A Science / Medical / Paramedical / Physiotherapy Graduation level degree with a minimum of 50% marks with a one-year Diploma in Yoga Science. 
M.Sc. Medicinal Chemistry & Drug
Design
 B.Sc. Chemistry/B.Sc. with Chemistry as a major subject with a minimum of 50% marks or any equivalent degree exam.
For Lateral Entry courses

B.Tech. Programmes for B.Sc. GraduatesSeeking candidates must have passed B.Sc. with 60% marks in aggregate with Mathematics as a subject.
B.Tech. (BioTechnology)
  • 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/Biotechnology, provided the candidate has passed in each subject separately.
  • Candidate must have English as a subject of study (core/ elective/ functional) in the qualifying examination.
For Bachelor's Degree

BCA

10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with English (core or elective or functional). Mathematics or (Computer Applications / Multimedia & Web Technology / Data Management Application /Computer Science / Informatics Practice / Web Application as a compulsory subject of non-vocational stream.

OR

Three-year Diploma in Engineering from a polytechnic duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to a recognized examining body with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

Bachelor of
Science (Nursing)
  • Should have passed 12th class with Science (Physics, Chemistry,
    Biology) or equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks & candidate has passed in each subject separately. 
  • The unmarried girls are only eligible to apply for this.

 

B.Ed / B.Ed Special Education
  • Candidates with at least 50% marks either in the Bachelor‘s Degree and/or in the Master‘s Degree in any stream with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55 % marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the programme. 
Paramedical XII or equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. 
BBA & Allied courses /Bachelor of Hotel Management &
Catering Technology/ BJMC 
Pass in 12th or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Bachelor of Commerce
(Honours)

50% in aggregate in 10+2 examination / senior school certificate examination of C.B.S.E . as minimum marks.

OR

Intermediate examination of an Indian University / Board or an examination recognized as equivalent to that (Pass in Five written subjects).

BA English / EconomicsCandidates with an aggregate of 50% marks in 10 + 2 level examination can apply.
B.Sc in YogaShould have studied 10+2 pattern of CBSE or equivalent in any Science stream with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in any four subjects including English.
B.Sc. in Nursing
(Post Basic)
  • Applicant should be a registered Nurse and midwife or equivalent.
  •  GNM with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
  • The candidate should have undergone GNM in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council.
  • Candidate should be medically fit.
B.PharmaThe candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M) and or Biology (P.C.B / P.C.M.B.) as optional subjects individually. Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council
of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.
  • Applicants must have English at qualifying examination.
  • Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Widows or Wards of Defence Personnel / Persons With Disability will be allowed 5% relaxation of marks in the minimum eligibility requirement for all courses.

  • For Bachelor of Vocation Programmes, the candidate should not be less than 16 years of age as on 31 December 2020.
Age relaxation 
  • The upper age limit may be relaxed up to a maximum of 05 years in exceptional cases.
