About JEST

Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) is conducted jointly by several premier institutes such as IISc, IISERs, NISER, etc, under the supervision of TIFR. Candidates who want to pursue a Ph.D. or Integrated Ph.D. course in one of the participating institutes in the following streams have to qualify for the JEST exam.

  • Theoretical Computer Science
  • Neuroscience
  • Computational Biology

The Institute has released the list of 37 exam centres for JEST 2022 on its official website. This is a national-level exam and was take place in offline mode.
