The NEST 2023 Result is scheduled to be announced on July 10, 2023, by NISER and UM-DAE CEBS after the successful completion of the entrance examination. How to Check NEST Result 2023?

How is NEST 2023 Result compiled?
The result of NEST 2023 is based on the percentile score of the candidates. NEST result is declared in two formats. One under the login of the candidates and second in the form of merit list. Result has section wise percentile score of the students and over all percentile too.
NEST 2023 result compilation: Firstly, the raw scores of the appeared candidates is converted into percentile score for the compilation. The percentile score is calculated on the basis of each student's relative performance in search section. 100th percentile is the highest score in each section.
NEST 2023 merit list compilation: Merit rank is considered from general section along with three best scores from the remaining section. this is how merit list is prepared for NEST.
Tie Breaking for NEST 2023 Merit List
During the preparation of merit list and in case of any tie among 2 or more candidates these methods are accepted to break the tie:
If two candidates get same score then the candidate who has scored more in general section will secure the rank.
If still the tie persists then we look for the three best subjects in which the candidate has scored higher marks is compared and the candidate who has better score gets the rank.
If still the tie persists then the provisional rank of the candidate is considered at the time of declaration of the resut. At the time of counselling tie is broken by comparing 12th class marks. Even if the tie stays then the younger candidate will secure the higher rank.
NEST 2023 Cut-off Marks
To secure in the merit list of NEST 2023 and get admission in it the candidate needs to score more than the Minimum Admissible Percentile (MAP) along with 'Section wise' Minimum Admissible Score (SMAS). MAP is the minimum score the candidate have to score to qualify NEST, whereas, SMAS is the section-wise score.

To get admission in NISER candidates have to pass SMAS in all 4 subjects along with the general section.

NEST 2023 Counselling
Qualified candidates in the entrance exams have to participate in the counselling rounds. The candidates who has registered themselves for the counselling process have to present at the time of counselling at the correct venue intimidated to them earlier. Failing to appear at the date and time of counselling which will result the candidate forfeiting to claim the admission. Attendence would be taken at the time of counselling to keep a track of student appeared at the counselling. Based on the attendance of the students present both at NISER and CBS, and the original merit list, a combined ‘modified’ merit list is prepared and the admission is done.The candidates have to bring the following list of documents at the counselling rounds:

Original mark sheet of Class X board examination + 1 photocopy
Original mark sheet of Class XII board examination + 1 photocopy
Proof of date of birth (original birth certificate or school leaving certificate) + 1 photocopy
Original caste certificate (if applicable) + 1 photocopy
(Caste certificate as per central government format certifies two things: a caste of the candidate and the fact that said caste is included in the respective category. However, formats of some states only mention the former in the caste certificate. Only in such cases, a separate caste verification certificate certifying the latter is needed.)
Original Non-creamy layer OBC certificate (if applicable) + 1 photocopy
Original disability certificate (for Physically Disabled candidates) + 1 photocopy
Proof of Indian citizenship, if born outside India + 1 photocopy

Demand Draft in favour of NISER, payable at Bhubaneswar, or in favour of CBS, payable at Mumbai, depending on where the candidates are appearing for counselling.
In case the candidate has submitted original certificates to another institute for the purpose of admission, she/he must bring official letter (undertaking) from that institute stating so.
