RGIPT 2023 Eligibility Criteria should be checked before filling out the RGIPT Admission 2023 application form. Only the RGIPT official website should be used to fill out the application forms for the various courses. Continue with the registration and application process. The application fee, on the other hand, can be paid in either an online or offline mode. Eligible applicants for MBA can complete the Registration details and print multiple copies of the completed Application form. Candidates must provide a copy of their payment (NEFT transaction)/Demand Draft, as well as any other required papers, to the MBA Admissions office before the deadline.
RGIPT Admission 2023 offers admission to a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes. JEE Advanced scores will be used to determine admission to B. Tech in 2023. It does not hold an Entrance Examination for any programme for a Ph.D. The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology or RGIPT has an annual admissions procedure known as the RGIPT 2023 Admission. The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology holds its own entrance test at the university level in order to admit applicants (except for Ph. D course). 

Applicants who wish to enroll in the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology's various Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and Doctorate level programmes can take the entrance test and go through the admission procedure. RGIPT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

In the part below, we have provided all of the crucial information regarding the RGIPT 2023 Eligibility Criteria set by the official authorities of the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology for the applicant's reference.
  • Nationality: Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for admission.
  • Age limit: Applicants must be at least 17 years old to apply for admission (for Undergraduate - UG programmes only).
  • Relaxation: Applicants who fall into a reserved category, such as SC or ST, are awarded a 5% mark reduction.
  • Recognition: The qualifying test must have been passed by a board or university that is recognised.

For B.Tech Programme

  • Educational Qualifications: Applicants must have finished Class 12th examinations under the 10 + 2 education system.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates in the General category must have received at least 60 percent in the qualifying test, while applicants in the Reserved category must have received at least 55 percent in the qualifying exam.
  • Scorecard: To get admitted to B. Tech programmes, aspirants must have passed the JEE (Advanced) entrance test.

For MBA Programme

  • Educational Requirements: Applicants must have earned a Bachelor's Degree or Graduation under the 10 + 2 + 3 education system.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates in the General category must have received at least 50% in the qualifying test, while applicants in the Reserved category must have received at least 45 percent in the qualifying exam.
  • Scorecard: To be considered for admission, students must have passed the JEE (Advanced), CAT – Common Admission Test, XAT – Xavier Aptitude Test, or GMAT entrance test.

For P.Hd Programme

  • Educational Requirements: Candidates must have earned a Bachelor's degree and then a Master's degree in a related discipline at the time of application.
  • Minimum Marks: Applicants must have received a minimum of 60% on the qualifying test.

RGIPT 2023 Selection Process

Candidates will be chosen using the procedure outlined below.

  • Candidates would be chosen for RGIPT B.Tech 2023 admission based on their JEE Advanced rank.
  • The shortlisted candidates will then be invited to participate in the RGIPT counselling procedure.
  • Applicants must appear in person for counselling, and they must bring and present their original papers for verification.
  • Candidates will be assigned seats when the verification is completed, which will be based totally on the rank obtained.
  • Then, in order to complete the admission requirements and process, candidates will be requested to pay admission costs.

Reservations and Seat Allocation

For MBA:

  • The Government of India's guidelines will apply to the reservation policy.
  • The allotment of seats to the various categories (SC, ST, and General) follows government regulations.
  • All SC/ST/OBC applicants are needed to present the certificate, as announced by the government.
  • Candidates who are physically handicapped must also present a certificate from one of the Authorized Hospitals.
  • The Chief Medical Officer/Medical Board of the Institute shall verify the percentage of disability.


Reservation policy  PhD and B.Tech

  • Students will be applied in accordance with GOI instructions.
  • SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwD candidates must produce a certificate.
