TS LAWCET 2023 Syllabus: Subject Wise Syllabus, Important Books

TS LAWCET 2023 Syllabus will be announced by TSCHE for 3 Year and 5 Year Integrated LLB course. For 5 year Law Course, the syllabus is of Intermediate level and for 3 year Law Course, the designed syllabus is of Degree Level. TS LAWCET 2021 will be conducted soon as an Online Test. TS LAWCET is divided into three sections: General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the Study of Law. 

TS LAWCET 2023 Subject Wise Syllabus

Given below are the subject-wise important topics for TS LAWCET examination:

TS LAWCET 2023 Syllabus: General Knowledge & Mental Ability

Part A of the paper consists of 30 questions carrying 30 marks. In this section, questions are generally based on logical reasoning and static general awareness.

General Knowledge section will include questions from the following topics:

  • Indian Constitution
  • Indian Culture & Heritage
  • Indian Polity
  • Current Affairs – National & International
  • Economy etc.

Mental Ability Syllabus

Questions in Mental ability section are generally from the following topics:

  • Direction and Distances
  • Linear Arrangements
  • Blood Relationships
  • Routes & Networks
  • Verbal Series

TS LAWCET 2023 Syllabus: Current Affairs

This section mainly includes questions from the events that have recently happened in the country and around the globe. It includes questions from the topics like-

  • Polity
  • Economics
  • Awards and Achievements
  • Scientific Discoveries and Inventions
  • And further topics of relevance.

The only source to prepare for this section is newspapers, magazines, and news channels. So candidates have to read them regularly to stay updated on the events of the past and current year.

TS LAWCET 2023 Syllabus: Aptitude for the Study of Law

Part C of the exam consists of 60 questions generally based on Legal Aptitude. As per the instructions given by the exam authority, questions from basic laws and the Constitution of the country will be asked in this section and they will be of elementary level.

  • TORTS: General Principles of Tort
  • Joint liability
  • State liability for torts; Consumer Protection Act,1986
Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) & Other Law:
  • Copyright Act, 1957; Patents Act, 1970
  • Environmental Protection Act, 1986
  • Human Rights, The Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993
  • Salient features of Information Technology Act, 2000
