West Bengal Civil Service(WBCS) Examination is conducted by the West Bengal Public Service Commission(WBPSC). The exam is conducted once in a year to recruit candidates for the posts of West Bengal Civil Service, West Bengal Employment Services, and various other posts. The application form of WBCS has been released on 5 November 2019. The exam is to be conducted in two stages i.e the written test and the personality test and is to be conducted in the online mode. West Bengal Civil Service(WBCS) 2020 Application Form

  • The application process of WBCS has been released on 5 November 2020 and has been closed on 25 November 2020.
  • Candidates can fill the application form through online mode only by visiting the official website of the West Bengal Public Service Commission(WBPSC).
  • Those candidates who are applying for the first time in the exam have to click on the "One Time Registration" link.

Application Fee:

The application fee structure is mentioned in the given below table.

Note: There is no application fee for candidates who are belonging to SC/ ST/ PwD categories.

West Bengal Civil Service(WBCS) 2020 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of candidates who want to take admission in WBCS are mentioned in the given below table.

Age limit
  • Candidate's age for the posts of Group A and C must not be less than 21 years of age and should not exceed 36 years at the time of admission. 
  • Candidate's age for the posts of Group B must not be less than 20 years of age and should not exceed 36 years at the time of admission.
  • Candidate's age for the posts of Group D must not be less than 21 years of age and should not exceed 39 years at the time of admission.
Nationality
  • Candidate must be a citizen of India either by birth or by registration, and
  • Those other nationals declared by the Government of India are also eligible to apply for admission.
Educational Qualifications
  • Candidate must have a graduation degree from a recognized institute or University.
  • Candidate must have the ability to read, write, and speak in Bengali, not applicable for those candidates whose birth language is Nepali.
Physical Standards for the posts in West Bengal Police Service in Group B Service

Male candidates must have a minimum height of 1.65 meters.

Female candidates must have a minimum height of 1.50 meters that are subjected to the relaxation to those candidates that are belonging to Gorkhas, Garwalis, Assamese Tribals, etc.

West Bengal Civil Service(WBCS) 2020 Admit Card

The admit card of WBCS has been released on 27 January 2020 by the official authority on its official website. Admit card will be issued separately for all the three stages i.e prelims, mains, and the personality test. All aspirants are advised to keep their admit cards until the whole admission process is completed. To download the admit card, there are the steps, that candidates must follow.

Step 1. In the first step, candidates have to visit the official website of WBPSC. 

Step 2. Then click on the admit card and after that, a new page of the admit card will be opened on the desktop screen.

Step 3. Now, candidates have to enter their details such as name, date of birth, etc.

Step 4. The admit card of the candidate will be open.

Step 5. Candidates are advised to download their admit card in pdf format and must keep two-three print outs of it for future reference.
