WBCS Exam 2023 or West Bengal Civil Services Examination Application Form has been released from 03 March 2023. The last date to apply online is 24 March 2023. WBCS exam will be conducted by the West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC). The exam is organized at the state level for the recruitment of candidates for the posts of West Bengal Civil Service and various other posts. W.B.C.S. (Exe.) etc. examination consists of two parts -Written Examination and Personality Test. Written Examination will be held in two successive stages, viz., Preliminary Examination (Objective MCQ Type) and Main Examination (Both Objective MCQ Type and Conventional Type). WBCS Exam 2023 Admit Card
The admit card of the WBCS Prelims exam 2023 has been released by the official authority on its official website. WBCS Exam 2023 Admit cards will be issued separately for all three stages i.e. prelims, mains, and the personality test. All aspirants are advised to keep their admit cards until the whole admission process is completed. To download the admit card, there are steps, that candidates must follow.
Step 1. In the first step, candidates have to visit the official website of WBPSC.
Step 2. Then click on the admit card, and after that, a new page of the admit card will be opened on the desktop screen.
Step 3. Now, candidates have to enter their details such as name, date of birth, etc.
Step 4. The admit card of the candidate will be open.
Step 5. Candidates are advised to download their admit card in pdf format and must keep two three printouts of it for future reference.
WBCS Exam 2023 Answer Key
West Bengal Public Service Commission publishes the official answer key once the prelims & mains examination gets over as per the schedule. With the help of an official answer, candidates can calculate their marks (approx) & to analyze their performance in the respective examination. The WBCS 2023 answer key will be published on the official website, i.e., pscwbonline.gov.in. The authority releases the answer key for both prelims & mains separately.
WBCS Exam 2023 Result
WBCS Exam 2023 Result The names of the candidates called to Personality Test and those recommended for appointment will be published provisionally subject to the determination of eligibility of the candidates in all respects and verification of original certificates etc. If at any stage of such verification any candidate is found ineligible, his / her candidature/allotment will be canceled. All the candidates who will appear in all the stages of the WBCS 2023 will be able to check the result by using login credentials on the official website.
WBCS 2023 Selection Process
Selection of the candidates will be based on their performance in the preliminary exam, main exam, personality test, and medical examination of Public Service Commission, West Bengal exam 2023.
- Preliminary Examination
First candidates have to appear in the Pre Examination. Those who will qualify for this round will be called for the main examination.
- Main Examination
After the successful conduction of the preliminary examination. Mains examination qualified candidates will be called for a personality test.
- Personality Test
Candidates shortlisted for Personality Tests will be required to specify the order of their preference for the posts or services to which they have applied. Choice of preference thus exercised will be deemed to be final and no alteration thereafter will be allowed.
- Medical Examination
Candidates who will be selected for appointment will have to go through the medical examination for the certificates of their fitness for Government service in the form prescribed for the purpose.

About Public Service Commission, West Bengal
The Public Service Commission, West Bengal was formed on 01 April 1937 by the Government of India. PSCWB is the state agency authorized to conduct the Civil Services Examination for entry-level appointments to the various Civil Services of the state of West Bengal in India. The PSCWB Performs various functions which include conducting examinations for appointment to Civil Services and posts under the State Government and advising the State Government on all matters relating to methods of recruitment to Civil Services and posts, on the principles to be followed in making appointments to Civil Services and posts and in making promotions and transfers from one service to another, on the suitability of candidates for such appointments, promotions or transfers and all disciplinary matters affecting a person serving under the State Government in a civil capacity and on certain other matters.
