AIFD WAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria: Qualification, Age Limit, and Other Details

The Army Institute of Fashion and Design (AIFD) has set eligibility criteria for candidates applying for the Written Admission Test (WAT) for the academic year 2023-24. Candidates must have passed their 10+2 examination from a recognized board to be eligible for the AIFD WAT 2023. In addition, the age limit for candidates applying for the course is between 16 and 21 years as of July 1, 2023. The AIFD WAT 2023 exam is open to both civilian and army wards, but the latter must have passed their 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate. Candidates are advised to read the eligibility criteria thoroughly before filling out the AIFD WAT 2023 application form.

The Army Institute of Fashion and Design (AIFD) has declared the results for the written admission test (WAT) and online admission test (OAT) 2023 on May 9, 2023.

AIFD WAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates have to fulfill the eligibility criteria for before filling the application form. Applicants need to fulfill the eligibility of the particular course in which he/she wants to apply. The application will be rejected if the candidate does not match the AIFD 2023 eligibility criteria. 

  • Children of eligible serving Army personnel will be applicable for admission
  • Children of eligible ex-Army personnel can apply for admission
  • Wards of war widows/widows of the Army are also eligible to apply

AIFD WAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria Highlights

Children of ex-Army personnel granted/awarded regular pension, liberalized family pension or disability pension, family pension during the of their demise, discharge, superannuation, release medical board/invalided medical board.

  • Children of serving Army personnel who serve at least ten years of continuous as an army.

  • Children of Army personnel who is adopted for minimum five years before applying for admission at AIFD

  • Stepchild provided that he/she is born from a marriage where at least one parent, who is otherwise eligible, belonged to the Army Children of APS/MNS/TA Personnel.

  • Candidates are required to be certified as mentally and physically fit by MH/RHO/registered medical practitioner.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed class 10+2 or equivalent exam

Minimum 35% marks (any stream) is mandatory.

For Postgraduate Courses
Eligibility Criteria
The applicants need to have atleast 50% in Science  / Textiles & Clothing / Apparel & Fashion Technology / Fashion Designing / Costume & Apparel Design / Costume Design and Fashion / Textile Technology / Silk Technology course as their Bachelor’s degree.

AIFD 2023 Application Form

The application form of AIFD WAT 2023 will be available from the first week of February.Candidates will be required to submit INR 500/- DD to the office for AIFD WAT 2021 Application Form.

What if the candidate have taken Humanities stream and the school doesn't have any subject those are mentioned above?
