IIAD 2020-21 Counselling: Schedule, Selection/Admission Procedure

IIAD 2020-21 Counselling is conducted by Indian Institute of Art and Design for those applicants who get are shortlisted in the merit list as per their marks. After which they will get the call letter from the authority. Students should have to carry the required documents at the examination at the counseling center for verification. As per the performance of the candidates in the counseling session, the admission will provide to them in designing programs. Design Aptitude Test (IDAT) has managed by the Indian Institute of Art and Design in collaboration with Kingston School of Art at Kingston University, London to provide admission to aspirants in the Undergraduate design program.

IIAD Counseling Procedure 2020-21

Following are the procedure of IIAD counseling has mentioned below for candidates and they have to follow it.
  • After the result declaration, the applicants will be shortlisted in the merit list and the selected students will be invited for the counseling session.
  • As per the marks scored by candidates in the examination, the seat allotment will be done as per the choice of candidates.
  • It is also necessary for the candidates to carry the required documents for verification and applicants should have to pay the admission after confirmation of admission.

Documents to be verified at IIAD 2020-21 Counseling Procedure

  • 12th class Mark sheet
  • Provisional Certificate
  • IIAD Entrance Exam 2018 Result
  • Passing Certificate

IIAD Entrance Exams

The screening process at IIAD aims to test the merit of a candidate based on their aptitude for design learning. The IIAD Entrance test has two components, which vary based on the course you apply for. Refer to the table given in this section to check your course requirements. 

IIAD Design Aptitude Test (iDAT): The IIAD Design Aptitude Test (iDAT) is a written test designed to assess a candidate's creative and visual ability, cultural awareness and logical thinking. The exam paper is a combination of visual tasks, writing tasks, one-word answers and multiple choice questions.
IIAD Management Aptitude Test ( iMAT): The IIAD Management Aptitude Test (iMAT) is a written test designed to assess an applicant’s language, logical reasoning and creative thinking. The exam paper is a combination of multiple choice questions and writing tasks.

Personal Interview: Personal Interview is an opportunity for applicants to have a face-to-face interaction with IIAD, so that their suitability can be assessed. With this understanding, IIAD can guide the applicant towards how the programme can meet their aspirations and interests.

IIAD’s ONLINE Design Aptitude Test assess the applicants’ logical reasoning, creative thinking and visual aptitude. The duration of the exam is 2 hours 30 mins.

Part A – Online Test

Part B – Online Personal Interview

IIAD’s Management Aptitude Test (iMAT) assess the applicants’ language, logical reasoning and analytical thinking. The duration of the exam is 2 hours. Students who appear for the Online iMAT must also appear for an Online Personal Interview. After the test, an email invite with the Date and Time for the Online Personal Interview will be sent to the candidate.
For Postgraduate programmes:For Fashion Design iDAT – IIAD ONLINE Design Aptitude Test
