The candidates have to apply for the exam according to the official pattern of the authority. The candidates also have to strictly follow the eligibility standards for the exam.
NERIST 2021 application form will be issued to candidates in

- Candidates will have to visit the official website of NERIST entrance exam 2021.
- After logging in, candidates are required to enter and register themselves by entering their details and the relevant details asked.
- After completion of NERIST 2021 registration process, the applicant will receive a login ID via both e-Mail and Mobile number.
- Candidates must make the payment via Debit/Credit Card or through Net Banking.
- Fee once paid will not be refunded in any case.
- After the final submission of the application form, no changes can be made by the applicant in his/her online application.

NERIST Entrance Exam 2021 Eligibility Criteria
NERIST Entrance Exam 2021 Eligibility Criteria should be checked by the candidates who are appearing for the exam for all the examinations (NEE-I/ NEE-II/ NEE-III) which are mentioned below:
- Eligibility for NEE I
- Maximum Age Limits as of 31 July 2020 should be 19 years for general category (GE) (born on or after 1st August 2001), 22 years for OBC and female candidates (born on or after 01 August 1997), and 24 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 01st August 1996), compulsorily.
- Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class X / Matriculation / Secondary Examination or an equivalent examination with Science and Mathematics Stream. They must have passed in all the subjects including Science and Mathematics separately.
- Eligibility for NEE-II
- Maximum Age Limits as of 31 July 2021 should be 23 years for the general category (GE) (born on or after 01 August 1997), 26 years for OBC and female applicants (born on or after 1st August 1994), and 28 years for ST/SC/PD (born on or after 01 August 1992).
- Academic Qualifications: Candidates must have passed in 10+2(PCM)/ Higher Secondary (PCM) with subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
- Eligibility for NEE-II (Vocational):
- Candidates should have passed 10+2(Vocational) / ITI / NERIST Certificate in any one of the branches/trades, viz., [Agricultural Engineering] Farm Equipment (FE) / Food Processing (FP); [Civil Engineering] Construction Technology i.e. Draftsman ship / Surveyor (CT); [Electronics and Communications Engineering] Electronics Technology or Electronics Maintenance (ET/EM); [Electrical Engineering] Electrical Technology or Electrical Maintenance (ET/EM); [Mechanical Engineering] Mechanical Craftsmanship (MC) / Automobile Technology (AT) and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (R&AC) are eligible.
- NEE-II (PCB): Candidates must have passed in 10+2(PCB)/ Higher Secondary (PCB) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB).
- Eligibility for NEE III
- Maximum Age Limits :
- Candidates should be 40 years on 31st July 2020 for general category (GE) born on or after 1st August 1980,
- Should be 43 years for OBC and female applicants born on or after 1st August 1977
- And 45 years ST/SC/PD (born on or after 01 August 1975).
- Academic Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 3-year Diploma course from any Government recognized Polytechnic /institution in the respective or allied discipline/ branch and also securing a minimum of 60% marks considering aggregate marks of all the three years’ together/CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale or NERIST Diploma Module with a minimum of CGPA 6.0.
NERIST Entrance Exam 2021 Exam Pattern

NERIST entrance exam 2021 Admit Card is the most important document to carry for the exam. NERIST has been postponed and now the new exam dates have been released.

NERIST Entrance Exam 2021 Reservation of Seats
There are these following different quotas which will be given to the candidates:
- State–quota: For candidates who belong to any of the Eight North Eastern States.
- All India-quota: For candidates who belong to any of the States of India.
- PD-quota: For candidates with 40 to 75% Physical loco-motor Disability (PD) belonging to any Indian State.
- EWS: Reservation for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) as per the guidelines of GoI.
Reservation in NEE 2021 works as follows:
- 80% reservation for candidates of the 8 North Eastern States ie 10% for each state as state-quota.
- 07% reservation for Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) holders of these 8 North Eastern States on merit basis.
- And 10% reservation exists for candidates who come under the All India-quota.
- Then 3% reservation is there for Physical locomotor Disabled (PD) persons under PD-quota.
Special privileges for wards of Kashmiri Migrants and Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in Kashmir Valley for admission in Higher Educational Institutions as per the directions of GoI, Ministry of HRD :
- Up to 10% relaxation in cut-off subject to minimum eligibility requirement.
- There is an increase in intake capacity up to 5% course wise.
- At least 1 seat merit quota in technical /professional institutions is reserved.
- Waiving off domicile requirements for Kashmiri Migrants only.
- Kashmiri Pandits /Kashmiri Hindu Family(Non-Migrants)living in Kashmiri Valley need domicile certificate.

About the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology
The NERIST was established in the year 04 March 1984, is a science and technology-oriented higher education institute in Nirjuli, Itanagar, Papum Pare district in the state of Arunachal Pradesh. It is an autonomous body fully funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Dept. of Education, Govt. of India.
The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology is divided into two campuses. The Institute is spread over 500 acres of land. There are eight hostel blocks with a capacity of 1500 boarders; six of these house male undergraduate students, one postgraduate male students and research scholars and the other female students.
