- Candidate must have a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for SC/ST) in graduation from any recognized Board/University.
- AICTE/UGC should affiliate the university. Also, it should be registered under AIU (Association of Indian Universities).

- A candidate who has completed qualifying qualification from any Foreign University must obtain an equivalence certificate from AIU.
