Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management Admissions 2020: Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) was established in 1980 in Vishakhapatnam. GITAM is an institute of higher education with campuses in Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad and Bangalore in India. In 2007, it was conferred the status of the deemed university under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956. It was the first private engineering institute in Andhra Pradesh to receive the university status. Admission to the university is based on the entrance test conducted by GITAM every year across major cities in India. The entrance test is called GAT (GITAM Admission Test).

GITAM GAT is conducted to provide admission at  Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research level. Whereas GSAT is conducted for admission into GITAM Institute of Science, GLAT for the School of Law. GNAT for admission into the nursing institute, GSA for School Of Architecture, GSAT for Science admission test.

GITAM GAT 2020 Application Process

Candidates can fill the application form for admission into courses according to their preferences. Application forms are available online on the official website of the university. Candidates must fill the form along with the application fees which can be paid both through online as well as offline mode.

Application Fees

The details regarding the application fee are given below:

Note: Application fee once paid would not be refunded under any circumstances.

  • Mode of payment: Candidates can pay the application fee via online as well as offline mode:
    • Online mode:
      • Candidates can use net banking/debit/credit card for payment.
    • Offline mode:
      • Through DD(Demand Drafts). Candidates need to send the hard copy of the application along with DD to The Director-Admission.

Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management  Eligibility Criteria 2020

For GAT 2020

B.Tech. programs: Candidates need to secure a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry and first class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.

B.Tech. in Biotechnology: Candidates need to secure a minimum of 60% aggregate marks in Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry and first class or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.

B.Pharmacy: Candidates need to secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination with Mathematics/ Biology, Physics & Chemistry subjects.

B.Arch: Candidates need to secure a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry subjects and also shall qualify in NATA / JEE (Main). 

Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management Selection Process 2020

  • Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management conducts GAT (UGTP) to provide admission in B.Tech, B.Pharm & B.Arch courses offered by Vishakhapatnam, Hyderabad & Bengaluru campuses. The ranks/marks secured by the candidates will be announced within a few days after the entrance exam. Moreover, 25% of seats in GAT will be reserved for students of Karnataka state for admission at Bengaluru campus.
  • The university offers admission into BBA, B.Com & BA courses under GITAM Institute of Management (GIM). Admission to all these courses are offered on the basis of student’s performance in Selection Process for BEM, B.Sc & BCA Programmes: GITAM conducts GSAT to offer admission in BEM, B.Sc & BCA courses. Final admission is offered on the basis of rank in the GSAT.
  • The university offers admission into M.Tech & M.Pharm programmes on the basis of performance in GAT (PGT) & GAT (PGP) test conducted by the GITAM.
