JEE Main 2020 Postponed Due to COVID-19: NTA has postponed the JEE Main April 2020 exam due to coronavirus. The exam was scheduled to be held on 05, 07, 09, 11 April 2020. The National Testing Agency will release the fresh schedule for JEE Main 2020 on 31 March 2020. JEE Main 2020 exam dates rescheduling is a result of the government of India’s preventive step to stop the spreading of coronavirus infection.
Since JEE Mains may require travel by the candidates appearing for the exams to different towns and the dates may clash with the rescheduled CBSE and other board exams. Is there any chances for cancellation of JEE Mains April attempt?
There is no such official statement by examination conducting body i.e. National Testing Agency. Be positive and stay calm while preparing for national level entrance examination. Many students appear for JEE Main April attempt so government may not cancel the examination accordingly.
Looking at last year data, 8,74,469 candidates appear in January attempt but 10,51,508 candidates appear in JEE Main April Attempt.

After HRD Ministry released a notification to all national-level exam conducting bodies that security and safety of students and teachers are important and asked exam conducting bodies to postpone all the examinations. National Testing Agency has postponed the JEE Main April 2020 exam.
As you know JEE Main is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). New JEE exam dates will be notified by the agency on its official website on 31 March 2020. Candidates who have registered for the examination are suggested to stay calm and wait for the new exam dates.

JEE Main 2020 postponed till the last week of May 2020 due to coronavirus. This decision of postponement of the exam is announced by Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Cabinet Minister for Human Resource Development.
Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank tweeted that “Since Parents and Students have to travel to different examination centres, to avoid any inconvenience to them, I have directed National Testing Agency to postpone NEET (UG) 2020 and JEE(Main) till last week of May,”.

Yes, The National Testing Agency has released an official statement regarding the situation. The exam dates are postponed and new dates will be announced on 31 March 2020. The students are advised that they should wait for the new exam dates from the authority.
- Not just the JEE Main 2020 April exam, but many other national level entrance examinations such as VITEEE, BITSAT, MET, SRMJEEE are about to be conducted in the next two months.
- Since there is no such official news regarding the postponement by the authorities, we can just assume that the authorities might not change the dates.
