GAT-B 2021 application form 2021 will be available tentatively from the first week of June. GAT-B will be conducted by the Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Faridabad. Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology 2021 exam is mainly conducted for admission in various DBT supported PG programmes in Biotechnology and allied areas. Interested candidates must check eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Earlier the test was conducted as Combined Entrance Examination for Biotechnology (CEEB). GAT-B 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who need to appear in GAT-B test 2021 must fulfil all the eligibility criteria as per Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB). If any candidate fails to fulfil the eligibility criteria, then his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled at any stage of the exam or he/she cannot appear in the further admission process. Animal BiotechnologyCandidates must have B.V.Sc. & A.H. or equivalent degree from any recognized university with at least CGPA of 2.60 in 4.00 scale or 6.60 in 10.00 scale or must have secured at least 60% marks in the traditional system. Reserved category candidates (SC/ST) must have secured at least 2.20 in 4.00 scale, 5.60 in 10.00 scale and 50% marks.
M.Tech BiotechnologyCandidates must have passed B.Tech/BE degree in the relevant stream with the minimum marks set by the participating university.
M.Sc. Allied Areas/Agricultural BiotechnologyApplicants with BSc. in the respective stream with the minimum marks as per the participating university.

Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), i.e. the exam conducting authority is supposed to release the GAT B application form 2021 in the first week of June in online mode. For successful registration, candidates need to apply following steps properly:

Step 1: Registration
  • Visit the official website of conducting authority, i.e. rcb.res.in and click on “New Registration” link.
  • You need to enter your name, email ID, date of birth and mobile number for registration
Step 2: Fill the Application Form
  • After registration, click on the “Already Registered” button and log in using User ID and password obtained during registration.
  • Go through all the on-screen instructions carefully and then click on the declaration button
  • Enter all the asked personal details, such as your name, gender, category, marital status, address, etc.
  • You need to enter your qualification details, such as date of passing the exams, marks secured, university name, etc.
Step 3: Upload Required Documents
  • In this step, you need to upload all the asked documents in the prescribed format and size.
Step 4: Fee Payment

Graduate Aptitude Test of Biotechnology Exam Pattern 2021

Regional Centre for Biotechnology has released a proper exam pattern for Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) 2021 exam. The entrance test will be conducted in Online mode, i.e. Computer Based Test (CBT) with a duration of 180 minutes. Candidates can take admission in a total of 1191 seats through the exam across the participating universities in 62 courses. As per the GAT-B 2021 exam pattern, question paper is mainly divided into two parts, Part A has 60 compulsory, MCQ questions with a class 12 level questions of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. Part B has MCQ questions of bachelor’s level of education. There were questions from basic Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology and allied areas as per syllabus attached. There were 100 questions out of which the candidates will have to attempt 60 questions.

Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology Syllabus 2021

GAT-Biotechnology Entrance Exam 2021 syllabus has been released by the exam body alongside the advertisement of the GAT-B 2021. Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology Stipend 2021

Once the candidates will take admission in any course successfully, he/she will be admitted in DBT-supported programmes are will be given a stipend as per the different programmes. Given below are the course by stipend for qualified candidates:

  • M.Sc. in Biotechnology & Allied Areas - Rs. 5000 per month
  • M.Sc. in Agricultural Biotechnology - Rs. 7500 per month
  • M.Tech./M.V.Sc. programmes - Rs. 12000 per month

However, on the basis of candidate's performance in the institute, they are studying, he/she will get the stipend in the second year of their study.
