HPCET 2023 Application Form last date is April 23, 2023. HPCET 2023 entrance test for various courses will be conducted on May 14, 2023. HPCET application form will be released by Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) to offer admission into B.Tech (Direct & Lateral Entry) / B. Pharmacy (Lateral Entry) / B.Architecture / M.Sc. Physics / M.Sc. Environmental Science / MBA / MBA (Tourism & HM) / MCA/ M.Pharmacy / PG Diploma in Yoga. Candidates will get admission in various Technical & Professional courses offered by HPTU and colleges affiliated to it, deemed to be universities or other Universities established under the State Act or constituent units thereto. Candidates must also check the Syllabus of HPCET 2023 before appearing for the entrance test.

HPCET 2023 Latest Updates

  • The last date to raise objections against the HPCET (Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test) 2023 answer key is today, May 17, 2023.
  • Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HIMTU) will close the facility to raise objections at 5 PM today.
  • Candidates who wish to raise observations regarding the answer key can do so before the deadline.
  • The HPCET 2023 exam was conducted on May 14, 2023.
  • HIMTU will declare the HPCET 2023 result based on the final answer key and will also release a merit list of candidates.

HPCET 2023 Application Form

HPCET Entrance Forms will be made available in online mode only by HPTU. All candidates, applying for the exam must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria of HPCET. They should fill the HPCET 2023 application form before the last date to apply. Candidates are advised to read all the instructions in HPCET 2023 brochure before filling the online application. Similarly, they must visit the official website of HPTU.

  • Candidates firstly need to register themselves through online mode only.
  • Enter some basic information and generate their registration ID and password for further process.
  • After generating the ID candidates have to log in with ID and fill in all the required details.
  • Upload scanned copy of recent photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  • After form filling, candidates have to pay the fees through online mode.
  • Candidates must be careful while filling the online application form because the authority will not provide any facility of correction in the form.
  • After completion of the application process, candidates must take the printout copy of their filled registration form for further process.

HPCET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates appearing in HPCET 2023 for seeking admission to a particular course must fulfill the HPCET eligibility criteria 2023 for the corresponding course as per norms of All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE)/PCI/UGC or as applicable. The minimum eligibility criteria for the different courses are given in the table below:

Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course.
B. Pharmacy (Ayurveda)Passed/appeared 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects securing at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
BBAAll those candidates who have passed XII examination in any stream from a Board recognized or established by Central/State Government through legislation shall be eligible to apply. Further, the candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in the case of a candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.
BCAAll those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination in any stream from a Board recognized or established by the Central/State Government through legislation shall be eligible to apply. Further, the candidate should have obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.
BHMCT/ B.Sc. (HM& CT) All those candidates who have passed the 10+2 examination in any stream from a Board recognized or established by Central/State Government through legislation shall be eligible to apply. Further, the candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to the SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.
M.Sc. PhysicsAll those candidates who have passed bachelor degree in science with at least 50% marks (45% in case of reserved categories)in aggregate in the three years of degree or honours in the subject concerned i.e. Physics.
M.Sc. Environment Science Candidates who have passed three-year B.Sc. degree with Botany, Zoology/Biotechnology and Chemistry or B.Sc. Non- Medical with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of reserved categories)in aggregate in the three years of the degree.
M.TechPassed/appeared bachelor’s degree (BE/ B.Tech) in relevant branch of Engineering/Technology or equivalent from recognized University securing at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category) at the qualifying examination.
M.PharmacyPassed/appeared in bachelor degree in Pharmacy or equivalent from recognized University securing at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category) at the qualifying examination.

HPCET 2023 Admit Card

The candidates can check the details for HP CET 2023 admit card below in the given points:

  • The e-admit card duly signed by the Controller of Examinations (COE) will be made available to candidates on the University website, i.e., www.himtu.ac.in. The candidates should download the e-admit card by entering the application form number.
  • The e-admit card will contain the e-admit card number, photograph of the student, address of the examination centre and examination date. If the candidate faces any issue must be brought to the notice of the Controller of Examinations, Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Gandhi Chowk, Hamirpur (H.P.)-177001 immediately.
  • Candidates will not be permitted to appear for the written test without a valid e-admit card.
  • Candidates must not mutilate an e-admit card or change any entry made therein after it has been authenticated and received by them. Impersonation is a legally punishable offence.
  • The e-admit card is an important document and it must be preserved and produced at the time of entrance examination/test. The candidate should report to the allotted examination centre along with an e-admit card and ID proof like an aadhar card etc. at least half an hour before the commencement of the examination.

HPCET 2023 Result

Result of HPCET 2023 will be declared soon after the exam. Candidates who have appeared for the entrance exam which was held in offline mode & can check HPCET 2023 Result by logging in on the official website.
  • The result will be displayed with details of candidates along with the marks they have scored in each subject.
  • Candidates are advised to download and print their HPCET 2023 Result or scorecard after checking it.

Steps to download/view the scorecard:

  1. Click on HPCET 2023 Result link provided on the official website
  2. Enter HPCET Roll No or Name of the candidate
  3. Result of HPCET 2023 will be displayed.
Candidates must take the print and keep it safe for counselling and future reference. HPTU will prepare a rank list for candidates who successfully qualify HPCET 2023. The merit list will be prepared based on marks secured by the test takers. HPCET 2023 merit list will be available online as well as on the notice board of the university.

HPCET 2023 Counselling

The online registration process for the counselling of HPCET 2023 will start in June 2023 and the application form will be available till the last week of June 2023. Candidates qualifying HPCET are eligible to appear in the counselling session after completing the registration process.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for counselling based on the merit list prepared based on scores obtained in HPCET or JEE Main depending upon the test they are applying through for seeking admission.
  • HPTU will conduct counselling for JEE Main qualified candidates from 03 July 2023 and for HPCET qualified candidates from 08 July 2023.
  • First 50% of seats in all the participating colleges will be allotted to JEE Main 2023 qualified candidates through counselling, while the remaining seats will be offered to candidates who qualify HPCET 2023.
  • In case vacant seats are left even after the counselling for JEE Main 2023 and HPCET 2023, then the seats will be allotted to candidates based on their merit in 10+2.

Documents Required for HPCET Counselling 2023

Candidate must produce the following documents, in original, along with one set of photocopies duly attested at the time of HPCET Counseling 2023.
  • Certificates of class 12 and 10.
  • Class 12 and 10 mark sheets issued by the board/university.
  • Matriculation/higher secondary/Indian school certificates showing the date of birth or Date of birth certificate.
  • JEE Main/HPCET scorecard.
  • Character certificate by the head of the institution last attended.
  • Bonafide/domicile certificate issued by the concerned authority.
  • Reserved category certificate issued by the competent authority, if applicable.
  • Physically challenged certificate issued by the competent authority, if applicable.
  • Income certificate issued by the competent authority, if applied under the tuition fee waiver scheme.
  • An affidavit attested by the Executive Magistrate if applied under Beti Hai Anmol Scheme.
  • Kashmiri migrants and domicile certificate issued by the competent authority, if applied under supernumerary Kashmiri migrant quota.
