IIT JAM 2020 Eligibility Criteria must be followed by each candidate who wants to pursue M.Sc courses such as M.Sc (Four Semesters), Joint M.Sc-PhD, M.Sc-PhD Dual Degree, etc at the IITs and Integrated PhD Degree Programmes at IISc. IIT Kanpur the organizing authority conducts it at National level. IIT JAM exam is conducted once in a year by the rotational administrative authority. All candidates have the responsibility to prove that they satisfy the Minimum Education Qualification (MEQs) and Eligibility Requirements(ERs). IIT JAM 2020 Eligibility Criteria 

IIT JAM 2020 Eligibility Criteria qualification is given below, so candidates must read it carefully. If the candidate found ineligible at any stage of the admission process the applying institute has the right to cancel their admission.

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree.
  • General/ OBC(NCL)/ EWS candidates have at least 55% or 5.5 out 10 CGPA/CPI without rounding off.
  • For ST/ SC or PwD category candidates have 50% or 5.0 out of 10 CGPA/ CPI without rounding off.
  • If CGPA/ CPI is on a different scale, it would be mapped to a scale on 10.

IIT JAM 2020 Eligibility Criteria (ERs) for Physical Fitness

Read the below points to know the IIT JAM 2020 Eligibility Requirements (ERs) in terms of physical fitness for admission into an institute after JAM exam:

  • All candidates have to submit their physical fitness certificate from the registered medical practitioner. 
  • At the time of admission, the candidates may also undergo a physical fitness test by the medical board constituted by the applying institute.
  • If the candidate is not found physically fit to pursue their chosen course of study, their admission is to be cancelled.
