Major Changes This Year
No changes to NEET UG 2027 have been officially announced yet; NTA is currently focused on concluding the NEET UG 2026 cycle, including re-examination and fee refund processes.
No major change has been officially announced yet for NEET UG 2027. NTA has not released any information regarding changes to the exam pattern, syllabus, eligibility criteria, number of attempts, or marking scheme for the 2027 cycle. The NEET UG 2026 exam continued with the existing 200-question paper (180 to be attempted), three-subject format (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), and OMR-based offline mode. Any structural changes for 2027 will only be confirmed via the official notification. Students should treat all circulating claims about 2027 changes as unverified until NTA officially announces them.
The NTA evaluates the OMR Responses filled by the candidates in NEET 2021. Candidates are awarded marks out of 720 (180 marks per section). The result will be announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on its official website.
The result will be out in pdf form carrying the names of the candidates who have qualified and the marks got by each candidate. Candidate can also download their result by logging in using their registration Id and Password. NEET Result will also indicate candidate’s All India rank, state rank and category rank.
Re-checking
As the marks are evaluated by OMR reader machine with extreme care, Therefore, No rechecking is accepted. Also, Candidate’s request for revaluation will be rejected.
How to check the NEET 2021 Result?
Candidates can download the Result after the official display of Result on the official website. The steps to download Result and Answer key are:
- Step 1 – Go the Official website of NEET 2021
- Step 2- Candidates need to go the official Notifications link and check whether an announcement is there for display of Results or not.
- Step 3 – Applicants need to Click on results Tab in the Window.
- Step 4- The Login Window will appear on the screen. Candidates need to log in using registration ID and Password.
- Step 5- The Result will be shown with all the necessary details such as All India Rank, State Rank, and Category wise Rank. The result will also be shown in a single PDF containing the rank of each candidate.
- Step 6- Finally, Download the Result using the download button.
- Step 7 – The candidates will then also be called for further counselling if they are eligible for the same.
- Step 8 – Take the printout of the answer key for further use.

NTA releases NEET Cut Off along with the declaration of results. The candidates need to score these minimum marks to qualify NEET. There are separate cut off marks for different categories. The Cut off will be released for 2 quotas– All India Quota and State Level Quota. Top 15% scorers in NEET will be allowed to participate directly in the NEET counselling process under 15% All India Quota.
