Army College of Nursing Eligibility Criteria for Admission 2019
Educational Qualification for B.Sc Nursing: Candidates who will pass the qualifying examination as a regular candidate and pass in the first attempt, will be considered for Bachelor of Nursing (B.Sc Nursing).
Educational Qualification Details are Described Below:
- The candidates must be passed Higher Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination. which is equal to 10 + 2 (Higher Secondary Examination) after a period of 12 years of study. Furthermore, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / any other elective subjects with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Educational Research and Training after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education.
Important Exam Update
- Updates Regarding JEE Main 2020
- The candidate must be passed the Intermediate exam in the science of an Indian University / Board or the recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology. which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.
- The Applicant must have passed the pre-professional / pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination or the Pre University or equivalent exams. The pre-professional/premedical exam shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Furthermore, English must be studied as a compulsory subject.
- The first year of the three years degree course of a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in three subjects provided the examination is a “University Examination” and candidate has passed 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course.
- Sc examination of an Indian University provided that she has passed the BSc examination with not less than two of the following subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) and further that she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
- Any other examination which is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these subjects and English.
Candidate must have passed the qualifying examination in the first attempt with a minimum of 50% marks each in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Candidates who have appeared in the 12th Class or equivalent examination are also provisionally eligible to apply and appear in the Entrance Examination. However, their candidature will be considered only if they provide documentary evidence of having passed the qualifying examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks at the time of counselling or admission.
Age Limit: The candidate should not be less than 17 years and not more than 22 years as on 31 December 2019. The date of birth of a candidate which was recorded in the Secondary Education Board (Class X Certificate) only will be taken as authentic. Upper age limit is extendable to not more than 25 years of age as on 31 December 2018 for a candidate holding B.Sc degree with at least two subjects out of Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology and has passed the remaining subjects in the intermediate or equivalent examination.
Eligibility Conditions For M.Sc.
The candidates should fulfil the following minimum conditions to become eligible for admission to M.Sc. Nursing course:
- The candidate should have passed B.Sc. Nursing/ B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing/ Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in the first attempt with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate from an institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.
- Should be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with Assam Nurses’ Midwives’ & Health Visitors’ Council. Those candidates who are registered with other nursing councils will have to obtain reciprocal registration with Assam State Nursing Council before joining the course.
- The candidate should have at least one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing or Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing prior to joining the course.
- Candidate should be medically fit for undergoing M.Sc. Nursing course.*
- Candidate in service/employed should apply through proper channel.
- Candidate with PB B.Sc Nursing programme from IGNOU centres not recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and those from any other university through distance education are not eligible.

The application form for AWES CWAT Exam 2019 will be available on the official site from the month of 15 March 2019. Application forms will be available at the specified centres where candidates can purchase the application form. Army College of Nursing Guwahati Entrance Test Admit Card
The Admit Card for the written examination will be sent to the candidates by e-mail and Registered Post at the address given by them on the envelope provided with the application form. All candidates should normally receive the Admit Card by the First week of May 2019. If any candidate fails to receive the Admit Card by the above date, she should inquire on the telephone from the office of Principal/Registrar AIN Guwahati by giving the Application No, full name, address and place of examination as mentioned in the Application Form.
Army College of Nursing Guwahati Entrance Exam Pattern
Paper Pattern For B.Sc. Exam:
The examination for B Sc is of 2 hours duration. The candidates have to fill the application form and collect their respective admit card. The exam paper will consist of 120 objective type questions (multiple choice).
The answers shall be indicated on the OMR Sheet and the evaluation of the sheet will be done through optical scanners and computers. Each correct answer will have 1 mark each.
Paper Pattern For M.S. Exam:
The admission of the aspirants will be based on the entrance examination. The test will be conducted in English language only.

For M.Sc.: When the result will be declared after that the candidates will be called for counselling based on the merit list. Counselling for admission will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination.
