General Instructions to be followed before Appearing for Exams:

1. All instructions issued in Examination Centres will be strictly adhered to by the candidates.
2. Candidates will follow all instructions given in Admit Card.
3. Duration for each examination will be as given in the date-sheet and Admit Card.
4. Answer books would be distributed to candidates between 10.00 A.M. – 10.15 A.M.
5. Question paper will be distributed at 10.15 A.M.
6. From 10.15 A.M. – 10.30 A.M. (15 minutes), candidates shall read the question paper.
7. At 10.30 A.M. candidates will start writing the answers.
8. In addition to theory Examination given above, there will also be practical examination in respect of those candidates who have failed in practical in a subject involving practical.
9. Candidate appearing for the Compartmental Examination in a subject involving practical work
are required to appear in theory only in case they have passed in practical.
10. Candidate examination in respect of private candidate will be held at the theory examination
centre unless otherwise notified.
11. Private candidate should contact the Principal of the school of their theory examination centers for date and time of practical examination before theory examination is over. The practical
examination should be completed before September, 2025.
12. Practical examination for regular candidates in all the subjects will be held at each school for
their own candidates.

CBSE Compartment 2027 Exam Eligibility Criteria

CBSE 12th Compartment Exam 2027 Eligibility Criteria:

• Students who failed in any one of their five subjects are eligible to appear in CBSE Compartment Examination.
• Candidate having 6 subjects and got compartment in two subjects can appear in any one of the two compartmental subjects.
• Students who have 6 subjects and declared PASS but could not clear one subject, can appear as an Improvement category.
• The applicant will be given three chances to clear their compartment exam 2027.

CBSE 10th Compartment 2027 Exam Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidate can apply for CBSE Compartment Exam only in one or two subjects in which they are placed in the Compartment.
• The students who have appeared in Class 10th exam and are placed in EIOP (Eligible for Improvement of Performance) category will eligible for the exam.
• Students who are placed in the EIOP category will be given only one opportunity to appear in the exam. If a student fails to clear the exam and gets NIOP (Not Eligible for Improvement of Performance) in their CBSE Compartment Result 2025, then the candidate cannot appear in the second chance.

How to apply for CBSE Compartment 2027 Exam?

There is a different application form procedure for regular and private students.  Candidate can check complete procedure for online form submission:

• Go to the official website i.e. cbse.gov.in
• Enter on “Online Application for Class XII Compartment / Class X Improvement of Performance Examination”.
• After that look for the relevant online submission links for the upcoming session.
• The applicant selects a suitable link as per his/her class i.e. 12th or 10th Class. Submit Roll Number, School Code, Centre Number and click on “Proceed” Button.
• Then, upload the scanned copy of your photo and signature.
• After that, go to the fee payment option. The applicant can submit the fee via demand draft or e-challan.
• After making the payment, click on the “Submit” button and take a printout of the confirmation page for future purpose.
• Lastly, Candidate has to send documents to the address of the regional office within 7 days. Documents such as a photocopy of the confirmation page, photocopy of mark sheet and e-challan must be sent.

Enrollment as a CBSE Private Candidates 2027

As per CBSE circular, Candidates Eligible to apply as Private Candidate for All India Secondary School Examination (CLASS X) is given below.

Class 10th Compartment (02 SUBJECTS):

• Candidate applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together.
• Students fall under COMPARTMENT category in March 2025 and July 2025 to apply only in the subject in which he/she has been placed in the Compartment.
• Such a candidate who has been fall in the compartment in two subjects may opt for appearing in 5/6/7 subjects in which he/she had appeared in March 2025 Board examination. Such candidate should select his/her category as FAILURE while applying online.
• Candidate applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together.

Class 12th Class Compartment (1 SUBJECT):

• Candidates applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together.
• Students whose result has been declared as COMPARTMENT in March 2025 and July 2025 to apply only in the subject in which he/she has been placed in Compartment.
• Candidates who got Compartment in one subject may also apply for appearing in 5/6 subjects in which he/she had appeared in March 2025 Board Examination.
• Such candidates should select his/her category as FAILURE while applying online.
• Students applying under COMPARTMENT category cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Schools will be able to download Admit Cards from 1st week of July 2025. Further, in case of any discrepancy in the Admit card, schools must contact the concerned Regional Office of the Board.
2. In case of any difficulty/queries regarding online submission, the Applicant can contact IT Unit of concerned Regional Offices.
3. Visually impaired students are exempted from examination fee of Class 10th/12th.
4. The consolidated mark sheet will be released only to Candidates whose result was declared COMPARTMENT in 2025 examination and thereafter declared Pass in Compartment July 2025 Examination.
5. Finally, the consolidated mark sheet will not be released to candidates whose result is already Pass and now appearing for Improvement of Performance.
