Delhi School of Excellence 2023 takes into account the admission for the classes from I-XII. Directorate of Education Schools of Excellence Branch, Govt. of NCT Delhi has opened the registration for admission in Classes VI to IX and Classes X and XII in Govt. Schools under non-plan admission. The admission process is taking place for Class IX & XII for School of Excellence Khichripur, Rohini Sector 23 & Sector 17, Dwarka, Kalkaji & Madanpur Khadar. There are two cycles in the registration process. Govt. of Delhi started  Five Schools of Excellence in 2023, they are co-educational, English medium, and from Class Nursery to 12. Delhi School of Excellence Admission 2023 Selection Process

For class Nursery to Class 3

An online computerized draw of lots is conducted at HQ level by a Committee under the Chairmanship of Director Education. The result of the Online Draw Of Lots for different categories comes in the form of the selected and waitlisted candidates. Result is basically generated at Headquarters (DoE). One can view the result at the official site or on the school notice board. 

For class IX

The entrance Test takes place for the class IX students.  On the basis of the performance of the candidates,  the merit is prepared. Only 40 students are enrolled in one section of a Class.

For Class XI

Candidates have to meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the Directorate of education, New Delhi and the merit obtained in the entrance exam. The candidates may have to face an interview if required.

• Read the complete guidelines before Admission Form
• Click on the “Register” tab.

• Things required to do the registration are:  (i) Personal details like Candidate’s Name, Father’s and mother’s name & residential address, details of the last school attended (if any). (ii) Aadhaar Number/ UID of the child (Desirable). (iii) Child’s Bank Account along with the name of the Bank’s Branch & its IFSC (Desirable). (iv) Child’s Date of Birth. (v) Mobile Number and email id of the parent.

Step 2: Fill the Application Form

• Login into the account using login id 
• Further, the application form will appear on the screen
• Enter the required details correctly. 

Step 3: Upload The Scanned Documents

• Upload the required documents such as mark sheet, photograph, signature in a prescribed format and size.  

Step 4:  Payment Of The Application Fee

• The candidates who are applying for the Delhi School of Excellence have not to pay any kind of application fee. There is not so much information regarding the fee. 

Delhi School of Excellence Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria differ as per the classes. Candidates applying for the Delhi School of Excellence must check the eligibility requirement before applying for it. This is because if someone fails to fulfil the eligibility criteria then the application will be rejected. NOTE: For class XI there will be a common Entrance/Screening Test for admission to the School of Excellence. However, a separate merit list will be there  for each of the School of Excellence

The entrance exam is held only for class 9.  On the basis of the merit in the Entrance Test of respective School of Excellence selection of the registered applicant is done. 

The students who have applied for the Delhi School of Excellence test must appear in the exam. They must check the Delhi School of Excellence Exam Pattern for Class 9.

• The Entrance Test will consist of Objective type questions 
• The questions will be asked from numerical & mental ability, General Knowledge, and Language comprehension and Descriptive type in English and Hindi.
• Exam duration is 2 hr 20 min
• There is no negative marking.

Documents Need to Submit at Time Of Admission 2023

Candidates who get selected for the different classes must be aware that they need to submit certain documents in order to confirm the seats. If somebody fails to provide the documents within the limited time frame, then their admission will be cancelled. SO be aware that all the documents are ready before applying for the exam. 

The parents/ students must submit the following documents to the Head of the allotted school. 

1. Passport size photograph of the child.

• School leaving certificate of a recognized school OR Original Date of Birth Certificate issued by MCD or any other Local Body.
