The JNVST 2024 exam will be held in two phases: Phase I on November 4, 2023 and Phase II on January 20, 2024. The admit card for the JNVST 2024 exam will be released on the official website of Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS).

the last date for submission of online application forms for JNVST-2024 has been further extended up to August 25, 2023. The correction window for making modifications in online application forms by registered candidates in the fields GENDER (MALE/FEMALE), CATEGORY (GENERAL/OBC/SC/ST), AREA (RURAL/URBAN), DISABILITY and MEDIUM OF EXAMINATION will remain open for two days after the last date of submission of online applications.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Application Form 2023

In order to appear for the exam, the candidates have to fill the form as per the class preference.  The process of the application form takes place in an online mode @navodaya.gov.in. Check the eligibility criteria before filling the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya  Application Form.  First, the candidates have to do the registration then fill in the personal details including the uploading of images.  

Step 1: Online Registration

  • Visit the official website of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya i.e navodaya.gov.in 
  • Click on the “‘Link for class VI JNVST 2023 Registration’ under ‘Admissions in JNVs’.
  • Enter the details such as name, age, email id, etc to do the registration.
  • After the registration candidates will receive the username and password.
  • Login into the account and complete the process. 

Step 2: Fill the Application Form

  • Enter the academic details in the correct form. 

Step 3: Upload The Scanned Images

  • Scanned the images in the prescribed size and format and upload it 

Reserved category students have to submit the Caste Certificates for verification of documents or eligibility to confirm NVS admission.

Step 4: Payment of the application fee

  • Make the payment can be done in an online mode through net banking/debit card/credit card.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria

For Class 6 

  • Candidates from the district where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to apply for admission. 
  • Candidates appearing for the selection test must be studying in Class-V for the entire academic session in a Government/Government-Aided, other recognized school or ‘B’ Certificate Competency Course of National Institute of Open Schooling, in the same district where he/she seeks admission.
  • For admission from rural quota, candidates must have studied and passed Classes- III, IV, and V from a Govt./Govt. Aided/recognized school spending one full academic session each year in a school located in a rural area.
  • Age must be within 9 to 13 years. (Applicable to all categories of students)
  • Class-V students who have not been promoted before 30th September are not eligible to apply. 
  •  JNV Selection Test can be attempted by the students only one time. There is no second time, under any circumstances.

For Class 9 

  • Only those candidates who have studied in Class-VIII in one of the Govt./Govt. recognized schools of the district where the JNV is functioning can seek admission in Class-IX.
  • Age must be in between 13-16 years on 1st May of the year of admission for which the Selection Test is conducted. (Applicable to all categories of the candidate)

For Class 11

  • Age limit of 14-18 years as of 1st July, of the year of admission.
  •  Passed Class–X from a recognized school (affiliated to CBSE or any other State Education Board) of the district where the JNV is located during the academic session of the year of admission.

Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas Admit Card 2023

The concerned authority was supposed to release the JNVST admit card in April 2023. But due to the COVID 19 situation in the country, the admit card and exam date has been postponed. Candidates who have filled the form can check the official site for the latest update on admit card. JNVST admit card will be out in an online mode. It is mandatory for the candidates to download it because no one will be allowed to enter the examination hall without the hall ticket. A list of information such as the name of the candidate, exam date, timing, venue etc is mentioned in the JNVST admit card.
