Checked on 22 Oct 2026
GATE 2027 application scrutiny is currently in progress by the zonal institutes under the organising system for GATE, and candidates who receive a defect email must use the rectification window in GOAPS to correct issues without extra fee.
GATE 2027 is currently in the application scrutiny stage, with zonal institutes reviewing submissions and sending defect emails where correction is needed. The official notice says candidates who receive a defect notification must rectify it in the GOAPS portal during the rectification window without paying any additional fee. It also states that the late-fee registration window was open till 12 October 2026. For students tracking the admit card, no official release date has been announced yet, so the next practical step is to monitor the portal and email for defect status updates. The organising authority for GATE is the IIT system, and candidates should keep checking the official website gate2027.iitg.ac.in for further announcements. Based on previous-year patterns, the admit card is generally expected later after scrutiny is completed, but that timeline remains tentative.
