Oxford India Center Scholarship – India’s Future Leaders
The Centre grants funding to the proficient Indian students who didn’t get admission under circumstances at Oxford.
The centre has six scholars this year, And they are studying various aspects of sustainable development. These Scholars got selected through the tough selection process. All of them demonstrate the commitment to return to India.
Scholars are attending the inter-disciplinary seminars arranged by the Centre in collaboration with the Skoll Centre at the Said Business School. And Also have the opportunity to engage in leadership and social entrepreneurship training activities.
Oxford India Partnership – Oxford India Centre for Sustainable Development:
Oxford India Centre for Sustainable Development is established by Somerville College to grant fully-funded scholarships to the graduate students of India. The OICSD equips scholars to lead the change on their return to India and work on global concerning issues. The Scholarship also plays a vital role in establishing the research and convening partnerships among scholars, academics, policymakers and professionals to find lasting solutions to development affairs.
As per Dr Alice Prochaska, Principal of Somerville College “The OICSD will help in shaping the next century of India’s growth by educating, connecting and supporting the scholars or future leaders in sustainable development and by making partnerships between Indian institutions and the University of Oxford.
The Centre will act as an ‘incubator’ for Talent development, pioneering research and New partnerships.
