DBT JRF 2023 Application Form Correction

The Department of Biotechnology gives chance to the candidates to edit or change the major mistakes that they made earlier while submitting their application forms. The candidates can simply log in with their Login ID and password and open their application form and correct it. It is important to note that the candidates should keep visiting the official website to check the application form correction dates and make the corrections within those dates themselves. No extra fees are charged for the same.

Educational Qualification- The candidate must have done Post graduation in Biotechnology or B.Tech/BE in biotechnology.

• M.Sc / M.Tech / M.V.Sc or equivalent degree / Integrated BS-MS / B.Tech in any discipline of Biotechnology
• M.Sc. / M.Tech Bio-informatics / Computational Biology
• Students admitted under DBT supported Postgraduate Teaching Programs M.Sc Life Science/ Bioscience/ Zoology/ Botany/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Bio-physics.

DBT JRF 2023 Exam Pattern

DBT JRF Paper will be divided into two sections i.e Section A and Section B having different numbers of Questions. The Exam Pattern for the JRF exam is given below.

• Duration: The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
• Mode of exam: It is a computer-based test (CBT).
• Sections: 2 sections A & B.

Details of the Award

DBT-BET (category I) gives an applicant to join the Ph.D. program and register from a recognized university or institution in the country within two years of the date of issue of the letter of award. Registration for a Ph.D. is the responsibility of the candidate and DBT has no role/responsibility in this subject. DocumENt verification will be performed for candidates who have been shortlisted. Candidates considered incompetent or who send invalid documentation will not be given an award letter. Whereas candidates in category II are eligible for appointment in a project sponsored by DBT and receive a fellowship equal to NET / GATE, subject to admission through the admission process of the institute.

The DBT JRF exam is to provide fellowship to the selected candidates. The candidates having PG in subjects like Biotechnology, computational biology, Life sciences, Bioscience, zoology, botany, microbiology, biochemistry, and other related subjects are eligible to apply. The examination is conducted by the Department of Biotechnology through CBT Mode. Candidates selected under Category l will get the P.hD and fellowship offer from any institute in India and Candidates selected under category two will be eligible to be appointed in any DBT sponsored project.
