KEAM 2023 Counselling Process: Spot Admission, Documents, Seat Allocation

KEAM 2023 Counselling Process involves dates, document verification, and seat allocation. It is an important step for admission to various courses in Kerala. Candidates need to provide necessary documents for verification and participate in the seat allocation process based on their ranks.

The KEAM 2023 counselling process will be conducted online through the official website of CEE Kerala. Candidates need to register and make their choices for seat allocation based on their rank. The counselling process consists of two stages, with the first stage allocating seats in government colleges and the second stage allocating seats in self-financing colleges.

Candidates allotted seats in the first stage will not be eligible for the second stage. To participate in the counselling, candidates must have their KEAM admit card, scorecard, Class 12th mark sheet, Class 10th mark sheet, and relevant certificates such as caste and income certificates if applicable.

Here are the details for KEAM 2023 Spot Admission for Engineering and Architecture:

  • Date: KEAM 2023 spot admission will take place on September 10, 2023.
  • Application Timing: Candidates can apply for the spot round from 8 AM to 12 noon on the official website, cee.kerala.gov.in.
  • Venue: The spot admission will be held at GEC Thrissur.
  • Tuition Fees: Students who have already taken admission in previous rounds of KEAM 2023 counselling for engineering and architecture, as well as those who have chosen spot admission, will need to submit tuition fees. The tuition fees are Rs 8,650 for general category candidates and Rs 1,000 for applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST).

Eligibility Criteria for KEAM 2022 Counselling

The candidate can check the eligibility criteria to participate in the Counselling session. Given below the eligibility criteria:

Applicants name in the rank list published by CEE will be eligible.

The candidate must also satisfy the following criteria:

  • Nativity
  • Academic qualifications
  • Age

The principal/Head of the Institution will personally check the eligibility and will be responsible for verification of eligibility conditions as prescribed in the prospectus of KEAM 2022 when the candidate reports for admission.

Documents required for KEAM 2022 Counselling

The candidate has to bring the following documents along with them on the day of counselling for verification:

  1. Certificate to prove date of birth.
  2. Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended and Conduct Certificate.
  3. Original mark list of the qualifying examination (Higher Secondary or equivalent)
  4. Pass certificate of the qualifying examination (if issued).
  5. Eligibility certificate from any University in Kerala, in the case of candidates who have passed a qualifying examination other than Higher Secondary Examination/Vocational Higher
  6. Secondary Examination conducted by the Government of Kerala or the examination conducted by CBSE and CISCE.
  7. Migration Certificate, if applicable.
  8. Physical Fitness Certificate
  9. Receipt of fee remitted.
  10. Datesheet of KEAM 2022
  11. Admit card of NEET-UG-2022 (if applicable)
  12. Allotment Memo issued by the CEE.
  13. Any other documents are required in the allotment Memo/Notification.
  14. Originals of all the documents and certificates uploaded with the online KEAM application.
  15. The fee/balance fee of the course should be paid at the time of admission.

KEAM 2022 CAP Procedure

The candidate must be aware of the KEAM 2022 Counselling procedure to avoid inconvenience during the counselling.

1. Registration

  • Candidate has to register themselves by login on to the website.
  • Enter the application number and password.

2. Trial Allotment

Then the candidate has to check the trial allotment.

3. Download Allotment

Check the allotment list and download the allotment letter.

4. Pay the fee

Pay the fee through Post in Kerala with an allotment letter.

5. Seat Allotment

Finally, the candidate will be allotted with the course and college.

How to apply for KEAM 2022 Counselling?

Candidates can follow the below-given steps to register option in KEAM 2022 Counselling.

Step 1: Registration

  • Visit the official website.
  •  Open the login portal and enter the application no and Password.
  • Click on the link "Option Registration Page".
Step 2: Register Options
  • After that, a list of Course-College combinations will be made available for allotments through the CAP will be displayed on the Option Registration page of the candidate based on the stream(s) the applicant is eligible for.
  • By entering the option number for a course-college combination the candidate can fix their preference numbers for the course-college combinations displayed.
  • Here all the eligible options of the candidate will be displayed course-wise and the candidate has to enter their reference number for a particular combination.

Step 3: Printout

After the completion of the option entry, the candidate can view their options by clicking on the link provided. An option list will be generated and the candidate must take print of it for future reference.
