What Is IIT JAM?
IIT JAM is a national-level entrance exam conducted jointly by the IITs on a rotational basis on behalf of the Ministry of Education. Exam Pattern
IIT JAM is a computer-based test (CBT) of 3 hours duration. Each test paper carries 100 marks and consists of three sections:
- Section A: 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) — negative marking applies.
- Section B: 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) — no negative marking.
- Section C: 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions — no negative marking.

After the Exam: Results & Admission
