Admit Card, Result & Counselling

Admit Card

The BITSAT hall ticket is released online, typically 2–3 weeks before the exam window. Candidates download it from the official portal using their login credentials. The admit card contains the allotted test centre, date, and time slot chosen during slot booking.

Result & Score Card

Scores are displayed on-screen immediately after exam completion. The official score card and merit list are released on the BITS Admissions portal, generally within 2–4 weeks of the last exam date. There is no separate rank; admissions are based on BITSAT score.

Admissions / Iteration Process

BITS Pilani conducts an online iteration-based admissions process. Eligible candidates fill in programme preferences; seats are allotted based on BITSAT scores and availability. Board toppers (first-rank holders from each recognised board) may receive direct admission — verify this provision in the 2027 brochure.

From Our Desk

Having tracked BITSAT application cycles since 2015, here are three practical observations our editorial team wants to flag for 2027 aspirants:

  • Photo specification rejections are common: We have seen a significant number of applications get flagged during the slot-booking stage because the uploaded photograph has a coloured or cluttered background. BITS Pilani is strict — use a plain white background and keep file size within the specified limit before you submit.
  • Server load spikes on the last day: We have consistently observed that the application portal experiences heavy traffic in the final 48 hours before the deadline. We strongly advise completing and submitting your form at least 3–4 days before the last date to avoid payment gateway timeouts or incomplete submissions.
  • Slot booking strategy matters: Unlike many national exams, BITSAT allows candidates to select their preferred test dates and cities. We have found that early applicants secure better slot choices — popular metro centres fill up fast. Apply early and book your preferred slot the moment booking opens.
