The candidates seeking to apply can check below selection criteria for each program:
Admission to the Ph.D. Programmes:
- The candidates are selected on the basis of an interview of eligible candidates conducted by the Department/Centre/School concerned, through its Department Research Committee (DRC) / Centre Research Committee (CRC)/ School Research Committee (SRC).
- DRC/CRC/SRC may decide to conduct a written test as well, or multiple interviews, or other ways or testing.
- Applications are invited from candidates by advertising the programmes in Employment News/web portals in March for the first semester and in October for the second semester every year.
Admission to MS Program
- The candidates must have a valid score for GATE 2023.
- For admission to M.S.(R), the requirement of qualification in GATE / National Exam is waived for the following categories of applicants:
- Currently registered in Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) having CGPA of 8.00 or above (on a 10 pointscale) at the end of 6th semester or later, in B. Tech./B.E./ Integrated
M. Tech/ Integrated M. Sc. Programmes (or any other programme of minimum four-year duration, admission to which is on the basis ofJEE). Moreover, such students must have obtain a CGPA of 8.00 or above at the time of graduation (and before they formally register for the M.S.(R) programme). - Graduates of CFTIs (in the programmes marked under (i)) with a final graduation CGPA
ofmore than 8.00 (80% aggregate marks if marks is the primary mode of evaluation). - M.A or M.Sc. graduates from IITs with CGPA 8.00 or above.

IIT Delhi MS & PhD Admission 2023 Application form

- The application form last date is over on 31 October 2023.
- The form was to be filled online on the official website of the IIT Delhi.
- Candidates belonging to the General/OBC/EWS category are required to pay for each application form a fee of Rs. 200/- and the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories are required to pay Rs. 50/-. The bank charges will be borne by the candidate.
- The whole amount of fees/other charges deposited by the candidates will be refundable after a deduction of Rs.1,000/- if the candidates do not join the programme after paying the dues and leave the Institute by applying for a refund on or before the date of registration. On resignation after registration, only the security deposit will be refunded.

IIT Delhi MS & PhD Admission 2023 Eligibility Criteria
These criteria given below are the minimum requirement for every candidate, which they should be able to fulfil in order to sit for the exam.

Financial assistance: Scholarships
PhD: Admitted JRF candidates will receive a stipend of Rs 25,000 monthly for the first 2 years starting from registration. And SRF Rs 28,000 monthly for the next 3 years of registration.
MS: Candidates considered for teaching assistantship while studying at full-time MS (Research) programmes. And will be paid Rs 12,400/ per month. Also, Selected candidates are required to provide assistance of 8 hours/week to the department/centre/school.
