Tripura University UG Admission 2021
Tripura Unversity is offering only 2 UG courses. both are undergraduate vocational courses- (a) B.Voc. programme in Rubber Technology and (b) B.Voc. in Film and Video Production.
- B.Voc. programme in Rubber Technology (RT):
- This course is offered by Department of Chemistry, this is a 3-year course which equals to Bachelor’s degree and the students who get admission in this course have the option to opt diploma in Rubber Technology after completing one year in this course to their credit.
- Those candidates who opted from the course after completing two years are awarded Advanced Diploma in Rubber Technology.
- B.Voc. in Film and Video Production:
- This course is offered by the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, this is a 3 years course which is equal to Bachelor’s degree.
- The students who got admissions in this course have the option to opt for a Diploma in Film and Video Production after completing one year in this course to their credit.
- Those candidates who opted from the course after completing two years are awarded Advanced Diploma in Film and Video Production.
Eligibility Criteria for Admissions in UG Courses

- Qualification: A candidate should have passed in 12th class in the science stream.
- NSQF: Candidates those who have completed NSQF Level 4 are also eligible to apply for the admissions.
Exam Pattern for UG Courses
Candidates have to appear for TUET to get admissions in B. Voc. Programme.
- Total Marks: Entrance test exam will be of 100 marks
- Duration: The time duration for the exam will be for 2 hrs.

Eligibility Criteria for getting admissions in Ph.D. Programme: candidates those who want to get admissions in Ph.D. programmes must have got passed in their Master’s degree with 55% aggregate marks (for SC/ST 50%) in relevant branches from any recognized University. Candidates who are in the final years of their degree courses are eligible to apply for the admissions but have to bring their final year mark sheets at the time written test & viva -voce.
Exemptions from RET for Ph.D. programme: the candidate who have qualified NET/SET/GATE, university teachers, Project fellows, College Teachers in the regular employees are not required to appear for the RET, but they must fulfill the essential eligibility requirements.
