JEE Main 2019 Counselling Details

Important steps of Counselling Procedure for Joint Entrance Examination (Main) is given below in detail:

  • Online Registration Process
  • Online Choice Filling and Locking done by applicants.
  • Allotment of seat
  • Fee Submission
  • Reporting to Allotted Center (RC) for Each Institute
  • Final Reporting to the Allotted Institute.

Online Registration:

First of all, Candidates need to register online and perform the choice filling for preferred Institutes and branches.

Then the applicant needs to enter his/her JEE Main 2019 Roll Number and password. Also, students must check the personal details after logging in. Moreover, It is mandatory to change the password for each and every candidate.

Selection of Choice (Institute and Branch)

Now, the Candidates must fill the choices of Institutes and branches in decreasing order i.e., starting with the most preferred choice. And, the applicants can fill as many choices as possible.

After filling of choice the next step is Locking of choice. And, If a candidate did not perform choice locking, in that case, the system will save last filled choice by default. And, the time window for choice locking will expire.

Allotment of Seat:

A total of 7 rounds will be carried out for seat allotment for the participating institutes of JEE Main. And, For the subsequent rounds, a candidate requires a filling option for ‘freeze’, ‘slide’ or ‘float’ for the choice of academic program offered by JEE Main 2019 Participating Institutes.

Fee Payment:

There is no fee for Registration and Choice filling and locking for the candidates. However, candidates must pay seat acceptance fee, if they accept the seat allotted to them. Moreover, the seat acceptance fee for the Unreserved/General category is Rs.45,000. However, the reserved category applicants have to pay Rs.20,000 as the seat acceptance fee.

Candidates can pay the seat acceptance fee either through e-challan at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI) or by using SBI Internet banking facility.

Note: The fee mentioned above is for the previous year exam. Therefore, We will notify the exact fee amount as soon as a notification is available from exam authority.

Reporting at the Allotted Reporting Centre for each Institute:

After the successful payment of the seat acceptance fee, the candidates need to report at the allotted reporting centres for document verification.

And, the applicants need to report only at the reporting centre of the institute in which the seat allotment happened. Furthermore, It is likely that allotment of the seat can change from NIT + system to an IIT/ISM and vice versa. In such case, the candidates need to report at the reporting centre of the changed Institute. Hence, if candidates seat allotment changed from IIT to NIT + system must report to NIT + system reporting centre and vice versa. Moreover, If a candidate fails to appear at the changed institute’s Reporting venue then it will lead to the rejection of the candidature.

Final Reporting at the Allotted Institute:

After the completion of the 7th round, the candidates need to report at the final allotted Institute. And, complete the admission procedure in all respect.
