Banaras Hindu University Admissions 2020 Exam centre change facility started. Candidates can change the exam centre till 20 June 2020. The exam has been postponed. The application form has been released from 30 January 2020 and ended on 29 February 2020. Banaras Hindu University (BHU), formerly called Central Hindu College was established in 1916 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. BHU is a public central university, with over 30,000 students residing on campus, it claims the title of a largest residential university in Asia. BHU offers various courses at UG/PG/PhD level to eligible candidates. Admissions in BHU are based on entrance exam held by the University every year.

BHU has released a notification on 14 June 2020. The candidates can change their exam centre choice as per their preference till 20 June 2020. No candidates will be allowed to change the exam centre after the date. Candidates may check the official notification below:

  • BHU  Application Form (UET & PET) 2020 has been released on 30 January 2020.
  • The last date of filling the form was 29 February 2020.
  • Before filling, form candidate must go through the eligibility criteria first.
  • The registration form has been released by the University on the official website. i.e.
  • Candidates seeking admissions into UG/PG Courses can fill the application form online and submit it.
  • Application forms are available only in online mode.
  • Candidates should be very careful while filling the application form and need to know the proper procedure.

Application Fee:

Mode of Payment: Applicant can pay there fee through online mode or by offline mode.

  • Offline mode: Payment of Entrance Test Fee in Cash through “Challan” in any branch of HDFC Bank.

BHU Eligibility Criteria 2020

The vital information regarding BHU eligibility criteria is given below.

General Criteria:

  • Candidates applying for UG courses should pass the 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board/university. You have to secure minimum 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.
  • You must hold the Bachelor Degree (in 10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline and must secure minimum 50% marks to appear the PG entrance exam (PET).
  • For admission in MBA, Programme Candidates must have a three-year graduation degree/ degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or Law/ PG degree in any discipline. Candidates must have qualified CAT 2017 exam.

M.Com Passed B.Com (Hons.)/ B.Com/B.Com (Hons.)-FMM under at least (10+2+3) Pattern & secure minimum 50% aggregate marks (except B.Com level).
M.Sc (Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Geography, Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology, Home Science) Passed B.Sc (Hons.)/B.Sc. under at least 10+2+3 pattern & secure minimum 50% aggregate marks.
M.Sc (Biochemistry) Passed B.Sc. (Hons.) in Biochemistry/B.Sc. under at least 10+2+3 pattern with Biochemistry & secure minimum 50% aggregate marks.
MA (Mass Communication) Passed graduate degree in any discipline under at least 10+2+3 pattern.
LLM Passed 3 year LLB degree after graduation under at least 10+2+3 pattern or five years LLB under 10+2+5 pattern.

BHU Admit Card 2020

The University has published admit card for UET/PET 2020 on the official website. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website.

  • Email/SMS alert regarding the admit card in the candidates registered email ID/mobile number.
  • BHU online admit card 2020 will be released one before the exam (For UG and PG).
  • Candidates will be able to download the admit card by entering their email ID or registration ID.
  • Candidates have to paste passport size photograph in the space provided on the printout of the Admit Card under self-attestation.

Banaras Hindu University Admissions 2020 Exam Pattern


  • Shifts: The examination will be organized into two shifts, i.e. 8:00 AM onwards (1st Shift) & 3:00 p.m. onwards (2nd Shift).
  • Exam Mode: The examination will be held in pen-paper mode (offline mode).
  • Language: The questions will be asked in English & Hindi language.
  • Duration: The duration of the exam will be 2 hours & 2½ hours as per the courses.
  • Number of Questions: In the examination total 150 multiple choice questions will be asked.
  • Total Marks: The question paper will be of 450 marks.
  • Marking Scheme: For the correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded.
  • Negative Marking: For the incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.


  • Shifts: The examination will be conducted in three shifts, i.e. 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM (1stshift), 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM (2nd Shift) & 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM (3rd Shift).
  • Exam Mode: The exam will be held in offline mode.
  • Number of Questions: Total 120 multiple choice questions will be asked in the examination.
  • Duration: The exam duration will be 2 hours.
  • Total Marks: The question paper will be of 360 marks.
  • Marking Scheme: For the correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded.
  • Negative Marking: For the incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted.
