The Central Board of Secondary Education has changed the CBSE Pattern of class 12th. The main reason to change the CBSE 2022 Exam Pattern for class 12 is to improve the quality of education. As per CBSE’s new exam pattern for class 12th 2020, the board has included more short answer-type questions. There will be no multiple-choice questions in the new pattern of the CBSE board for the 12th standard. The exam will be held in written mode and not the only mode as reported by PTI. The applicant can check the marking scheme of the 10th class subject-wise.

Notably, several schools, after the release of sample question papers for Classes X and XII, observed that weightage for MCQs has increased by 10 percent.

- The board has reduced the syllabus for class 10th and 12th by 30 percent due to which at least 4-5 chapters have been reduced in every subject.
- About 50 percent of questions in class 12 English sample question paper were multiple-choice questions.
- No Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) in class 12 Biology paper 2021 have most likely been replaced by Assertion and Reason-based questions.
- In CBSE Class 12 Physics Question Paper 2021, students will find Assertion & Reason and Case-Study-based questions in CBSE Class 12 Physics Question Paper 2021.
- In Class 12 Economics question paper 2021, around 20 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) and Assertion and Reason based questions are expected.
