Science Olympiad Foundation  2021 Registration

The Science Olympiad Foundation conducts the exams for school students from classes 1 to 9. The students from various schools can participate in the SOF exams by doing online registration. The olympiad exams will be conducted in the respective schools on the dates chosen by the school. Therefore, the students can do the Online registration for SOF by filling the registration form. The SOF conducts the exam for science, mathematics, computer education, English, sports, and professional courses. National Science Olympiad (NSO)

  • The SOF National Science Olympiad is conducted for students from classes 1 to 10.
  • There are two levels in the SOF National Science Olympiad. 
  • The participants of the NSO are ranked on the basis of marks obtained by them in the test. 
  • The Level 2 of NSO is only for students from classes 3 to 10. 
  • The students from classes 1 & 2 are not required to take the 2nd level exam. 

Registration

  • Students can participate in the National Science Olympiad by doing online registration from the portal of the conducting authority. However, an offline registration facility is also available.
  • A prospectus containing the Registration forms is sent to all schools registered with SOF.
  • Students can do the registration by filling in all the basic details like name, school name, parent’s name, class, subject applied for, etc.
  • Schools must return the registration forms to SOF, duly filled in and complete in all respects by the due date.
  • Students should register through their respective schools only. Individual registrations by students are not accepted.

Roll Number 

  • The coordinating schools should fill the School Registration Form (SRF) and Students’ Registration Sheet (SRS) 
  • SOF will generate roll numbers for all the participating students, on the basis of the SRS.

  • The participants of the NCO are ranked on the basis of marks obtained by them in the test. 
  • The students are tested on the basis of their computer science skills. 

Registration

  • Candidates can do offline or online registration for NCO.
  • For offline registration, they must take the form from their respective schools and submit it before the due date.
  • Prospectus and Registration forms will be sent to the respective schools registered with SOF.
  • For online registration, they must visit the official portal of the National Olympiad Foundation.
  • Students should register through their respective schools only. Individual registrations by students are not accepted.

International English Olympiad

  • The SOF conducts the International English Olympiad (IEO) for students from classes 1 to 12. 
  • The IEO is conducted at two levels.

  • This olympiad aims at developing the English learning and vocabulary among the school children and makes them competitive for higher learning in Communicative English.

International General Knowledge Olympiad (IGKO)

  • The SOG IGKO is open for students of classes 1 to 10.

Level 2

Level 2 is conducted for students of class 3 to class 12. The qualifiers to the second round would include the following:

  • Top 5% of candidates, class-wise, who appear in the 1st  level exam. 
  • In case of a tie of marks, due weightage to marks scored in different sections will be given. 
  • Each section is accorded separate weightage.
  • Top 25 rank holders class wise & Zone wise.
  • Class topper where at least 10 students from a class appear in the exam & scores 50% qualifying marks.
