Contents
Checked on 20 Oct 2026
No official 2018 update has been published for this article yet, so students should monitor the MHRD/NIRF website for any new notification or ranking release, which is normally issued by the Ministry of Education/NIRF.
For the MHRD nirf List of Top 100 Engineering Colleges in India, no official update was fetched from the authority today, so there is no confirmed 2018 revision or fresh notice to report. The article remains at the stage where students should verify any ranking or notification directly with the Ministry of Education/NIRF before trusting secondary coverage. If a new release appears, it will typically be posted first on the official NIRF portal, and that would be the next step to check. Until then, any date or list seen on other websites should be treated as tentative only. Students should use the official site to confirm whether a 2018 engineering ranking list has been published or updated.
- Expected: a fresh NIRF notification or ranking notice if the 2018 cycle is revived or referenced.
- Expected: the Ministry of Education/NIRF would typically publish any official list or methodology update on its portal first.
- Expected: students should watch for a press release or notice before relying on any third-party list.
- Expected: if this is an archive-style 2018 article, no further 2018-specific action may be pending now.
- Expected: any updated top-100 engineering college list would ordinarily be released only by the official NIRF authority, not coaching or education portals.
Basically, this framework outlines a methodology to rank institutions across the country. A Core Committee set up by MHRD gave overall recommendations of broad understanding and draws the methodology to identify the broad parameters for ranking (Top 100 Engineering Colleges in India). These parameters are based on the following points.
- Teaching, Learning and Resources.
- Research and Professional Practices.
- Graduation Outcomes.
- Outreach and Inclusivity.
- Perception.
