The steps to fill the NEIGRIHMS B.Sc and M.Sc Nursing Entrance Exam Application is given below:

• Application form for NEIGRIHMS B.Sc Nursing 2023 Entrance Exam will be released on the official website.
• Candidates are requested to carefully fill all the basic details in the application form
• It is important to provide an accurate phone number and email id in the application form as login details and other information will be sent to the candidate through them.
• The application form cannot be sent by post to the institution.

NEIGRIHMS BSc and MSc Nursing Entrance Exam Fee 2023

Candidates have to deposit application fees of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) by using Debit Card/Credit Card through Payment Gateway to the Institute’s Account “NEIGRIHMS MBBS Account” No.: 30270200000005.

Fee once deposited will not be refunded in any case.

Documents to be Uploaded During The Registration Process

B.Sc. Nursing:

• Applicant‘s scanned photograph of appropriate size.
• Candidates scanned signature.
• Scanned proof of payment of a fee.
• Scanned copy of the High School/Secondary School Certificate issued by the Board / University showing the date of birth of the applicant.
• Scanned copy of the mark sheet of the 10+2 examination, to make sure of eligibility in qualifying examination.
• This is not important for the candidates awaiting results of 10+2.
• For candidates waiting for their result of 10+2: Scanned copy of the ADMIT CARD of the said examination.
• If qualified, original mark-sheet should be produced at the time of counselling
• Employed Candidates: Scanned copy of No Objection Certificate from the Employer.

M.Sc. Nursing

• Candidates scanned a photograph of appropriate size.
• Candidates scanned signature.
• Scanned copy of the High School/Secondary School Certificate issued by the Board / University with the date of birth of the applicant.
• Scanned copy of the mark sheet of the B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/B.Sc. Nursing/ Post-Basic B. Sc. Nursing examination to check the eligibility in qualifying examination.

• Experience Certificate.
• Employed Candidates: Scanned copy of No Objection Certificate from the Employer.
• A person with Disability: Certificate of disability from a competent authority

NOTE:  No hard copy of application form needs to send to NEIGRIHMS. All these documents will also be required in the admission process.

NEIGRIHMS BSc and MSc Nursing Entrance Exam 2023 Eligibility Criteria

All the candidates are requested to read the eligibility criteria before registering for the exam. Those who do not fulfil the criteria will not be allowed to write the examination. Eligibility guidelines are listed below

B.Sc Nursing Eligibility:

Nationality	Citizen of India
Basic qualification	Candidates should have passed 10+2 Exam with Science (PCB) and English Core/English Elective as their subjects from a recognized board (AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent board). Candidates should have a minimum of 45% or more marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology & English.
Age limit	The applicant must be 17 years of age on or before 31 December 2020. He/she should not be older than 25 years (as on 31 December 2023)
Physical fitness	Candidates should be medically fit

M.Sc Nursing Eligibility:

The qualification criteria for M.Sc Nursing is given below.

Basic qualification:

• Candidates should be a graduate in B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/B.Sc. Nursing/ Post Basic B. Sc. Nursing from an Institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
• Applicant must have graduated with at least 55 % aggregate marks.
• Candidates must be a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife or equivalent with any State Nursing Council.
• Candidates with Post Basic B.Sc. (N) degree through distance education (IGNOU) may be considered only if their study centre is recognized under the Indian Nursing Council
• Internal candidates from NEIGRIHMS should be registered with the Meghalaya State Nursing Council.
• Male candidates who did not opt for Midwifery in the B.Sc. The nursing course must be qualified in any other subjects recommended by the Indian Nursing Council in lieu of Midwifery.
• Those candidates who have studied Midwifery are applying for admission to Obstetric and Gynaecological Nursing and Community Health Nursing speciality
• B.Sc. Nursing graduates should have at least one year of experience in a hospital or in a College or School of Nursing or in a Community Health setting/ programme after registration in the State Nursing Council.
• Applicants should submit their experience certificate with their application form.
• Students of College of Nursing, NEIGRIHMS (irrespective of domicile state) are eligible for admission.
• Candidates with Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing must have a minimum of one-year work experience before or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing

Physical fitness: Candidates shall be medically fit.

In-service candidates: In-service candidates should obtain ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the employer.

Note: Candidates having a disability to the tune of 40% to 50% of lower extremity declared by the authorized Medical Board of the State Govt. / Govt. of India or any other Competent Authority authorized in this regard by the Government having Nursing Expert as a member of the Board would only to be considered.

NEIGRIHMS BSc and MSc Nursing Entrance Exam 2023 Admit Card

NEIGRIHMS BSc and MSc Nursing Entrance Exam 2023 Result

M.Sc. Nursing Result:

The selection of candidates will be strictly in order of merit( on the basis of marks obtained in the online / Offline entrance examination).

1. Merit list will be prepared for each category of candidates

 (a) General

 (b) Candidates who have qualified B.Sc. Nursing course from NEIGRIHMS.

 (c) Internal Candidates.

3. In the matter of selection, the decision of the Director, NEIGRIHMS, Shillong, will be final

INTER-SE-MERIT

If two or more candidates obtain the same marks in the entrance examination, then admission to the course shall be determined on the basis of the following:-

1. A candidate who has made more attempts in passing the qualifying exam – B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic) examination will rank junior/less to a candidate who has made lesser attempts.
2. If the attempts made in passing B.Sc. Nursing. / B.Sc. Nursing. (Post- Basic) Examinations are also the same, then a candidate who has higher marks in the said examination will be given preference to a candidate who has obtained lower marks.
3. If the attempts made and the marks obtained in the examinations are also the same, then a candidate senior in age will be given preference.

B.Sc.Nursing Result

The result of the Entrance Test in order of merit will be declared within 72 hours of completion of the Entrance Examination and will be displayed on the Institute’s Notice board, Director’s Block and College of Nursing Notice Board, NEIGRIHMS, Mawdiangdiang, Shillong-793018, Meghalaya, and also be made available on the Institute’s website.

INTER-SE MERIT

 If two or more candidates obtain equal marks in the entrance examination for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing Course, their admission shall be determined on the basis of the following:-

i) Candidate securing more marks in Biology (aggregate in Zoology and Botany) in Entrance Examination will be preferred.

ii) In case of a tie in Biology marks, candidate scoring more marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) in aggregate in Entrance Examination will be preferred

iii) In the event of a tie even after this, the older candidate will be preferred.
