AP DEECET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Before beginning to fill online application form students must check their eligibility criteria for AP DEECET 2023. And the criteria for AP DEECET 2023 is as follows:

• Nationality: The student should be Indian.
• Age Limit: Students have completed 17 years of age on 1st September of the year of admission. There shall be no upper age limit.
• Domicile: Candidate should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh and also should satisfy Local/ Non-Local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh State Education Institutions.
• Educational Qualification: All the interested candidates should have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana. Those who have passed intermediate with vocational courses are not eligible for admission.
• Marks Required: Candidates must have secured minimum of 50% marks and 45% marks must be secured by the SC/ ST/ PH category candidates.

Subject wise eligibility criteria

• Mathematics: Those who studied Mathematics as a subject at Intermediate level.
• Physical Science: Those who studied Physics & Chemistry as subjects at the Intermediate level
• Biological Science: Those who studied Botany & Zoology as subjects at Intermediate level
• Social Studies: Those who studied any of two subjects out of Civics, Economics, History, Geography and Commerce at Intermediate level.

How many seats intake in the AP DEECET?

All the sanctioned intake of seats in D.El.Ed course in the Govt. DIETs and Convener quota (Category-A) in private unaided Elementary Teacher Education Institutions shall be filled by the Convener DEECET-2023. Such seats shall be allotted to the candidates based on the rank obtained in AP DEECET.

What is the eligibility criteria for AP DEECET?

The candidates should have secured 50% of marks in aggregate in the Qualifying Examination for appearing in the DEECET.

Is there any exam pattern for AP DEECET?

AP DEECET exam is an objective type exam, candidates need to answer 100 MCQ. The question paper is divided into two parts i.e. Part-A and Part-B. Part-A consists of 60 marks whereas Part-B consists of 40 marks.
