MAH B.Ed CET 2020 Exam has been postponed. The Application form submission last date was 08 June 2020. MAH B.Ed CET is an undertaking by the Government of Maharashtra, India to smoothen the admission process of eligible candidates into the B.Ed programme at various institutes across the state of Maharashtra. The Candidates who are eligible and are desiring to enrol themselves must clear a MAH B.Ed CET 2020 (Common Entrance Test) conducted every year by the University. The Candidate wishing to be a part of the University of Maharashtra for B.ed Degree must apply before the last date. The Common Entrance Test (CET) is done under the authority of the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET CELL). It is an online test held in selected cities across the state of Maharashtra. Also, Candidates who want admission into Colleges of English medium must also appear for the English Language Content Test  (ELCT CET) in addition to the MAH B.Ed CET 2020.

NOTE: The Admission to B.Ed programme shall entirely be based on the merit of the candidate in the Entrance Test.

How to Apply for MAH B.Ed CET 2020?

The Applicants can apply for MAH B.Ed CET 2020 by following the steps provided below:

  1. Before applying, candidates should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria mentioned in the advertisement.
  2. First of all, Candidates need to visit the official website at MAH.
  3. Candidates must select Notifications link on the official website.
  4. Eligible candidates have to apply through online mode only.
  5. Candidates can fill the online application with all the necessary details required.
  6. Fill all the details like Name, Date of Birth and other details in the correct manner as per the rules.
  7. Upload Photo, Signature and other documents which are required.
  8. Pay the fees online as described below if the mode of payment is online.
  9. After the payment is completed, candidates may take a printout of the submitted application and it is advised to keep it with them for future reference. There is no need to send the print out to Official Address.

How to Pay Application Fees?

After the candidate has successfully filled the MAH B.ED CET 2020 application form of Entrance Examination (UET), the following options are available for payment of the entrance fees:

  1. Online payment through Credit Card/Debit card/ Net banking through the payment gateway.
  2. Payment of Fee in Cash/Cheque through “Challan” in any branch of HDFC Bank.

Qualification Criteria for MAH B.Ed

The Eligibility Criteria for MAH B.Ed CET 2020 is broadly divided into two parts:

  1. Maharashtra State Candidates
  2. Other State Candidates

MAHARASHTRA STATE CANDIDATES

The candidates who are eligible for the Common Entrance Test (Maharashtra State candidates) for MAH B.Ed CET 2020 must have cleared the following criteria:

  • Applicants should have completed the 10th/ Matriculation along with ITT Course from a recognized board/Institution with passing marks.
  • Aspirants must be an Indian National and must be holding a Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree with at least 50% marks in Science/Social Sciences/Humanities/Commerce are eligible.

NOTE: The Eligibility Criteria is minimum 45% marks in case of Backward Class categories from State of Maharashtra which are belonging to SC, ST, VJ-DT NT-(A), NT1-(B), 5 NT-2-(C), NT-3-(D), OBC, and SBC.

OR

  • Aspirants must be an Indian National and must be holding a Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in Management / Engineering / Computers / Law/ Information -Technology / Agriculture/ BBI / Medical Sciences /All Social Sciences excluding those mentioned above / Fine Art are eligible.

NOTE: The Eligibility Criteria is minimum 50% marks in case of Backward Class categories from State of Maharashtra which are belonging to SC, ST, VJ-DT NT-(A), NT1-(B), 5 NT-2-(C), NT-3-(D), OBC, and SBC.

OR

  • Students appearing in the final examination of Bachelor’s programme may also apply but they shall be considered for admission only on fulfilling the minimum eligibility marks on the declaration of their results.

OTHER STATE CANDIDATES

The candidates who are eligible for the Common Entrance Test (Other State candidates) for MAH B.Ed CET 2020 must have cleared the following criteria:

  • Applicants should have completed the 10th/ Matriculation along with ITT Course from a recognized board/Institution with passing marks.
  • Aspirants must be an Indian National and must be holding a Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in any discipline considered equivalent from any recognized University are eligible.

How to download Admit Card for MAH B.Ed?

Admit Card is mandatory to appear on the Common Online Entrance Test. The Admit Card will be available for download online on the official websites of DHE and CET CELL by 27 May 2020. The candidates will also be informed about the availability of Admit Card through their registered mobile number and E-mail ID after release.

The Admit Card can be downloaded using the following steps:

  1. Visit the official website and then click on the link to Download Admit Card.
  2. Finally, Candidate shall be required to use the following information for downloading the admit card:
    1. Registration Number/Roll No
    2. Password/Date of Birth in dd-mm-yy format

Examination Pattern and Syllabus for MAH Entrance Exam 2020

Syllabus for MAH B.ED CET Entrance Exam 2020:

Mental Ability: Series, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Relationship, Analogies, Classification, Problems on Dice, etc., either in Verbal or Non-Verbal form.

General Knowledge: Local, National, International Level including Past Events, Current Affairs including, Science and Technology, History, Geography, Civics, Political Science and Literature in General.

Teacher Aptitude: leadership qualities awareness about changes in Education and Society, communication and Professional commitment, etc.

English: Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Formation, Phonetics, Verbal idioms and Proverbs and Figures of Speech.

MAH B.ED CET Paper Pattern for Entrance Exam 2020:

  • Duration of Paper: 150 Minutes
  • No of Questions: 100
  • Type of Questions: MCQ’s
  • Negative Marks: None
  • Language: English and Marathi
  • Pattern of The Paper: The question paper will be divided into the following 2 parts:
    • First Part: 40 MCQ’s of Mental Ability

MAH B.Ed CET Cut Off

In the counselling process, The Commissioner for the Entrance Test will allocate the seat and college to the qualifying candidates on the basis of their merit list. candidates have to register on the official website and report on the given time at the College Campus.

Documents Required at the time Of Admission?

The Candidates need to produce the following original documents along with the photocopy at the time of admission after the clearance of entrance examination:

  1. TC (Transfer Certificate).
  2. 10th/High School Certificate/equivalent Certificate.
  3. 12th(Intermediate (+2)) Certificate/equivalent Certificate.
  4. Migration Certificate, if passed from a university other than MAH (To be submitted not later than 90 days of admission).
  5. Mark Sheet of 10th/High School Certificate/equivalent
  6. Mark sheets of 12th(Intermediate (+2)) Certificate/equivalent.
  7. Mark sheet of the Qualifying Examination.
  8. SC/ST/OBC Certificate on the basis of which reserved quota seat is claimed.
  9. UET Admit Card issued from the office of the Controller of Examinations, MAH.
  10. Certificate(s) in support of a claim for ‘Sports Seats’.
