JEE Main 2021 will be conducted four times in 2021 by National Testing Agency (NTA). The Result for Pase 3(April exam ) has been announced on 06 August. National Testing Agency is a government body under MHRD. This entrance examination is a qualifying test for first year of UG courses at IITs, NITs, CFTIs and other participating institutes. Furthermore, JEE Main 2021 will be an eligibility test for JEE Advanced 2021, a gateway to admission in India premium technical institutes IITs. While for admission into B.Arch & B.Plan courses, candidates must qualify JEE Main Paper –II & III.  JEE Main phase 4 exam is going to be held on 26, 27, 31 August and on 01, 2nd September 2021.

  • NTA has announced the Phase 3 Result on jeemain.nta.nic.innta.ac.in, and ntaresults.nic.in.
  • After JEE Main Feb / Mar / Apr 2021, result of the exam releases in form of percentile. Then after JEE Main May 2021 the result releases both in form of percentile and rank.
  • To check their score, examinees have to login with roll number and date of birth.
  • NTA compiles JEE Main results on the basis of (1) marks in paper 1 / 2 / 3, then (2) normalization.

JEE Main 2021 Exam Pattern

The details regarding the JEE Main 2021 Exam pattern are given below:

  • Exam Mode: JEE Main 2021 exam will be held in online mode(CBT mode).
  • Duration: The exam will be of 03 hours duration.
    • In the case of PWD candidate with 40% disability, extra 01 hours will be given to complete the exam.
  • Language: Candidates will attempt the JEE Main exam in Hindi and English language.
    • Candidates appearing for the JEE Mains exam in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli exam centres, the exam paper will be in English, Hindi & Gujarati language.
  • Type of Questions: The questions will be Objective type questions.
    • Also, according to the latest paper pattern, there will be some questions having answers in numerical values.
    • While in B.Arch there will be a subjective type question of drawing.
  • Number of Questions: 
    • B.E/B.Tech(JEE Main Paper-I): There will be a total of 75 questions.
    • B.Arch(JEE Main Paper-II): There will be a total of 77 questions.
    • B.Plan(JEE Main Paper-III): It will contain a total of 100 questions.
  • Exam Papers: Different papers will be conducted for different courses. The details are mentioned below:
    • B.E/ B.Tech course: JEE Main Paper – I

  • Marking Scheme: 
    • For every correct answer: 04 marks will be awarded.

JEE Main Paper-II and Paper-III Syllabus (B.Arch/ B.Plan):

Part I: Buildings, Places, Materials, Awareness of persons, Visualizing, Analytical Reasoning Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal), Visualizing three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings, etc.

Part II: Building forms and elements, colour texture, Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, subtraction, harmony and contrast, Creating two dimensional and three-dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms, rotation, etc.

  • Nationality: Indian candidates, as well as foreign candidates, can apply for the exam.
  • Foreign Candidates: Candidates from foreign countries should have the necessary marks /percentage from a board recognized by AIU to be eligible for the JEE Main 2021 exam.
  • Age Limit: There is no such age limit specified by the authority for the JEE Main 2021 exam.

Qualification Criteria

  • Qualifying Exam: Candidate must have passed their class 12 or equivalent from a recognized board or university in 2019 or 2020.
  • Qualifying Subjects:
    • B.E/B.Tech: Candidates must have passed with physics as compulsory subjects along with Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, chemistry or any other subject as optional subjects.
      • Chemistry is not a compulsory subject anymore for B.E/B.Tech courses as per the recent notification by NTA.
    • B.Arch: Candidates must have passed class 12 with physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects.
    • B.Plan: Candidates should have passed class 12 with mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • Diploma: Candidates who are having any diploma are also eligible to apply for the exam.
  • Appearing: Candidates who are appearing in class 12 in 2021 session are also eligible to apply for the exam.
    • Candidates who have passed their class 12 in 2018 or before are not eligible to apply for JEE Main exam.
